{"id":27093,"date":"2018-12-03T16:18:52","date_gmt":"2018-12-03T14:18:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghafla.com\/sa\/?p=27093"},"modified":"2018-12-03T16:18:52","modified_gmt":"2018-12-03T14:18:52","slug":"criselda-opens-up-on-living-with-hiv","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghafla.co.ke\/sa\/criselda-opens-up-on-living-with-hiv\/","title":{"rendered":"Criselda opens up on living with HIV"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In an Interview with the<strong> Daily Sun<\/strong>, Criselda has opened up on her journey with HIV.<\/p>\n<h3>Read the whole interview here;<\/h3>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s been a very long journey ever since I knew my status.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve lived for more than two decades with the virus,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis has never let me feel like giving up on life.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut it has made me take the opportunity to influence people to know about this disease.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEvery time I meet people who say bad things, I take that as an opportunity to correct them.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s how people are taught,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMore often than not, it\u2019s merely because they\u2019re uninformed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs people who live with the virus, we should always use that as an opportunity to correct and teach them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen you personalize the risk of HIV infection, you begin to look in your area of service and in your area of influence,\u201d she told the People\u2019s Paper.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you\u2019re that person who can advocate for people to have cheaper medicine, that\u2019s your space.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In an Interview with the Daily Sun, Criselda has opened up on her journey with HIV.
