Sjava has finally received his BET award that he won in 2018. He took to social media to make the announcement where he had plans of sharing it with his fans.<\/p>\n
“Our BET award has finally arrived fetching it tomorrow A Big THANK YOU to @BET can\u2019t wait to take it to the streets so you guys can see it, touch it, feel it and ofcoz take pictures with it because if it wasn\u2019t for you it wouldnt be possible NGIYABONGA, [sic] he wrote.<\/p>\n
Sjava explained why he wants to share the trophy with his fans.<\/p>\n
“I feel proud to wave the South African flag high because without the recognition of the many South Africans that support me I would not be here.<\/p>\n
“The handover ceremony today made me remember how far I have come because the love has a new level ever since I received the award.”<\/p>\n
Sjava attributes his success to being humble and staying true to himself and his roots.<\/p>\n
“One thing I learnt is that fame comes and goes so I do not worry about it and that is why people find me more relatable and that is probably why I hold this award.\u201d<\/p>\n
“I never want to lose a part of myself because for fame it is not about being famous it is about doing what I love and that is making music.”<\/p>\n
