{"id":494,"date":"2017-09-22T05:25:03","date_gmt":"2017-09-22T03:25:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghafla.com\/sa\/?p=494"},"modified":"2017-09-22T05:25:03","modified_gmt":"2017-09-22T03:25:03","slug":"kgomosto-christopher-opens-up-about","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghafla.co.ke\/sa\/kgomosto-christopher-opens-up-about\/","title":{"rendered":"Kgomosto Christopher opens up about her amaizing year"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Southafrican Actress Kgomtso Christopher sat down with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iol.co.za\/\">IOL<\/a> to describe her new roles roles in TV.Kgomotso is well known for her role in Scandal.<\/p>\n<p>Kgomotso was recently chosen to be an ambassador for the Supreme Women Campaign.The campaigns celebrate powerful women who are the best in their industries.<\/p>\n<p>You can read the whole interview down below:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>About the #SupremeWomen campaign, she praises, \u201cFor me as an African woman, I believe you can find supreme women in every corner, they\u2019re in our boardrooms, they are in a shack raising doctors of tomorrow, because of the sheer character that is a woman.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The Scandal star\u2019s passion is unmistakable as she chats about women taking their place as forerunners in the media industry.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Christopher notes, \u201c\u201cIt\u2019s high time we say these supreme women exist in our lives, so why doesn\u2019t the content reflect that? Why does the content always reflect a male lead, surrounded by women that are weak?<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cIt\u2019s lovely that broadcasters like e.tv are beginning to embrace the story of women and \u00a0where we are today. We we need to tell more of their stories.\u201d.<\/em><br \/>\n<em> In the past year, since leaving the local soapie Isidingo, Christopher has been involved in other projects including the SABC 2 drama, Thola.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<figure><em><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/inm-baobab-prod-eu-west-1.s3.amazonaws.com\/public\/inm\/media\/2017\/09\/19\/iol\/444\/Scandal-8347.jpg\" \/><\/em><\/figure>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: xx-small\"><em><b>Kgomotso Christopher. Picture: Supplied<\/b><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><em>She explains, \u201c\u201cI had a very busy year, a year into Scandal! I did a drama series on SABC 2 ironically, that aired only recently. Now I\u2019m full time on Scandal!as YV. And that takes up 100 \u00a0percent of my time, I don\u2019t even get time to do my nails that\u2019s why I was very excited to take a day go to the spa for my full body massage. A the chance to time to switch off and relax.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>With working on a soapie monopolizing much of a time &#8211; leaving very little to do other projects at the moment &#8211; she tries her best to ensure it doesn\u2019t eat into family time.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>She explains, \u201cThe most important thing is to be realistic, I\u2019m not one of those artists who does everything; I wake up, I\u2019m there, at night I\u2019m somewhere, on weekends I\u2019m there, it\u2019s a rare occurrence and it\u2019s usually work. I think balancing comes with being very choosy about what you do. I had my chance to travel and be exclusively answering only to my needs. Now I have very young children.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Christopher admits, \u201c\u201cHe is incredible, whatever he touches, whatever he does, it\u2019s just incredible. It\u2019s an absolute dream to work with him, literally. He\u2019s someone I met when I was in high school, I stopped him across the road, and I said please sign my homework diary and he signed it and I still have that homework diary.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>After so many years I never though he will be a close colleague of mine. He is still an inspiration, I still look up to him.\u201d<\/em><br \/>\n<em>What\u2019s next?
