Sauti Sol Does It Again!

Kenya’s most sought-after boy band, Sauti Sol, has released a new single, Money Lover. The upbeat song, once again, flaunts the band’s songwriting skills in a story about a young man trying to decipher his lady’s love, whether it’s genuine or for the money. An ode to the materialistic nature of romance in the new world.

Money Lover, a mix between the Kenyan oldies sound and Zouk, has been produced by Kenyan award-winning producer R-Kay, who previously produced the band and P-Unit’s Gentleman, which won Collaboration of the Year at the just Kisima Awards last weekend. Money Lover displays the band’s signature harmonies married with rich instrumentals.

Sauti Sol is currently on the 2012 Niko Na Safaricom Live Tour and is scheduled to perform in more Kenyan towns between October and December 2012. The band has also been nominated for the 2012 Channel O Music Video Awards for Most Gifted Music Video for I Don’t Wanna Be Alone with AY. Check out Money Lover below.
