Size 8 Opens Up On Break-Up With DJ Mo, Admits Contributing In The Separation

Popular gospel singer and preacher Linet Masiro Munyali, widely known as Size 8, has recently shared intricate details about her painful decision to end her marriage with DJ Mo, whose real name is Samuel Muraya, prior to their eventual reconciliation.

The Public Split and Underlying Reasons

The couple’s marital troubles first became public in August 2024 when Size 8 announced their separation on social media. At the time, she offered minimal specifics, merely hinting that sometimes marriages simply don’t work out.

However, in a revealing recent interview with TV47, the “Mateke” hitmaker finally elaborated on the deep-seated reasons that compelled her to walk away from her union with Mo. Size 8 disclosed that she had reached a point of absolute despair regarding their relationship.

“I thought at that time that I had reached my end and I was like, you know what, I am done. Sometimes hope is very important. I think at that time I had lost all manner of hope of us ever becoming something,” she confessed.

Acknowledging Personal Blame

Size 8 candidly admitted that she had become completely blind to her husband’s positive attributes, choosing instead to focus solely on his imperfections.

“Nilikuwa nimefunga macho kuona the good in him. My mistake at that time is that I looked at his mistakes with a magnifying glass and completely refused to look at his positives. I did not choose to see good,” she explained, highlighting her own role in the marital breakdown.

She further acknowledged her part in the challenges that led to their separation, revealing that the seven-month period they spent apart was a crucial time of introspection and self-reflection for her. This period away from each other seemingly allowed her to gain a new perspective on their relationship and her own contributions to its difficulties.
