SONU Chairman Speaks Out After It Emerged That UON Students Burnt Down the Tree Obama Planted

Nairobi University students had recently penned down a letter asking Obama to drop by the city-based university. If he did not comply, they promised that they would pee on the tree he planted and others would commit suicide.

However visiting UON was not in Obama’s itinerary and UON students were allegedly so pissed that he skipped them for Kenyatta University that they razed down a tree he had planted during his last trip here.

However Babu Owino denies that the students defaced the memorial tree writing this:

NO TREE HAS BEEN BURNT IN UON/THE TREE THAT WAS BURNT WAS IN THE TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY OF KENYA(TUK).The students of TUK burnt the tree during a demonstration which was after Engineerng Board of Kenya failed to accredit the institution’s engineering courses..WE ARE VERY PEACEFUL AT THE UNIVERSITY OF NAIROBI AND WELCOME PRESIDENT OBAMA
