They will then receive the two codes plus their token.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The first code is the Reset Code.<\/li>\n<li>The second code is the Update Code<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Updating the Meter<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Armed with the two codes in the SMS from Kenya Power, grab your token meter, then:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To Reset, key in the first 20-digit code into token meter, press ENTER.<\/li>\n<li>To Update, key in the second 20-digit code into token meter, press ENTER.<\/li>\n<li>Then, enter your token. Failure to do so will render the token invalid.<\/li>\n<li>The &#8216;Update Token Meter Yako&#8217; process is completely free. If someone attempts to charge you, that&#8217;s fraud &#8211; Dial *977# to report.<\/li>\n<li>The update will not affect existing tokens.
