Ugandan Singer Jose Chameleone Hospitalized In The US With Stomach Illness

Legendary Ugandan singer Jose Chameleone has been hospitalized in the US following a stomach illness. The 44-year-old singer’s father, Gerald Mayanja, told Bukedde TV that Chameleone has been having stomach complications for the past few months. The illness worsened when Chameleone moved to the US, and he is now bedridden.

Mayanja said that Chameleone is currently receiving treatment for his stomach complications. He has not revealed the specific illness that Chameleone is suffering from, but his wife, Daniella Atim, has previously said that he has H-pylori, a type of bacteria that can infect the stomach.

Chameleone’s illness has sparked an outpouring of support from his fans and fellow musicians. Ugandan singer Gravitty Omutujji has called on fellow Ugandan stars to come together and pray for Chameleone.

“As a country, we need to pray for Chameleone, his friends, and everybody, wherever you are, pray for Chameleone because he is terribly ill,” Omutujji said.

Chameleone is one of the most popular and successful singers in Uganda. He has won numerous awards, including the MTN African Music Awards and the BET Awards. He is known for his energetic live performances and his catchy songs.

Chameleone’s fans are hoping for a speedy recovery. They are sending him their prayers and well wishes.

Chameleone was first reported to be ill in 2021, when he was hospitalized at Nakasero Hospital in Kampala. At the time, his wife said that he was suffering from H-pylori, a type of bacteria that can infect the stomach.

Chameleone’s illness has been a source of concern for his fans. They have been praying for his recovery and sending him their best wishes.

The Mayanja brothers are said to have developed a new habit of locking lips when fans are watching. Well thanks to a now deleted photo by Douglas Mayanja aka Weasel, we get to see Jose Chameleone kissing him on stage during their concert in Bujumbura, Burundi.

From the photo, the two brothers are seen locking lips – something that has sparked mixed feelings among their fans. There are some who claim this could be an Illuminati stunt that bonds these brothers together, while others feel that this was just a way to appreciate brotherhood.

To caption it, Weasel wrote;

First public kiss

Although the Mayanja brothers (that is Jose Chameleone, Weasel and Pallaso) have always been tight – fans still find it hard to understand why they find it necessary to kiss on the lips.

In November 2016 the same brother lovker lips again during a local concert in Kampala, leaving their fans speechless and some excited by the stunt. And in 2022 – Weasel once again stole kisses from his brothers and from the look of it / he sure did love it!

Is chameleone leaving the country for good?

Jose Chameleone made news when he posted pictures of him and his wife in a new house. The veteran singer purchased the house worth millions of Uganda shillings in Minnesota.

Many wondered if he would be leaving the country for good and starting afresh abroad. Daniella and his kids have been living in the US for months since the birth of his last born Xara Mayanja.

An inside source has come out to reveal that the three-bedroomed house is for his kids who will be studying there and now have a permanent house to live in alongside their mother.

“It is not that he is relocating. He just secured a place they could stay while they study. After they’ve finished school, they will return home,” the source said.

Chameleone and Pallaso clash in Rwanda over who is better

The Mayanja brothers, Pallaso and Jose Chameleone are currently at loggerheads and can hardly speak face to face.

Sources say that their first show went down as planned but later they started fighting for supremacy at the second event that was held at Musanze Stadium. The major cause of the fight was Chameleone’s aggressiveness.

While Pallaso was on stage, Chameleone cut short his performance by unplugging the microphone from the controllers, leaving Pallaso unable to sing hence taking over stage amidst his brother’s performance.

It is reported that Pallaso and Weasel criticized their elder brother’s behaviour something he was not ready to take in. He started throwing words at his brothers, bragging how is a legend.

But this did not go well with Pallaso either as he took to his social media platforms to express his dissatisfaction.

“Thank you, Rwanda. We are the future. Being legendary is something you should let the fans decide. I am blessed by God beyond borders and limits, our time is now, forget the old days. Cry, Forgive. Learn. Move on. Let your tears, water the seeds of your future happiness,” Pallaso posted.
