Facebook groups still try to maintain the tradition and some have gone on to grab national headlines. Her are five that had the nation talking for days some are still active while others seem to have died the natural death of an online trend.

Even with the unmitigated risk of being conned and the lack of mainstream media advertisement, everyone from the rich to the man in the streets and the rural areas met and traded at Soko Nyeusi. OLX may have reduced its popularity but there are still diehard fan and those still looking for rare items or bargain prices who keep in going.
Nairobi Cougar Lounge– The one group that gave many a young Kenyan men a chance they had been snuffed out with the rich men preying on their age mates. The rich beautiful women had no problem flaunting their selves and posting pictures with their trophies, which only attracted the women and studs in droves. Maina Kageni gave the group even more exposure when he highlighted their party and it got nationwide attention. It is still active.
Campus Divas For Rich Men– created to provide the rich men with easy access to young pretty lasses and the same to the college girls. This group lasted on national attention for long enough the original group got deleted and came back in different offshoots. So much was the outrage and support it got some of the ladies went on to be celebrities or outcasts.
Deadbeat Dads– The one group every man who abandoned his paternal duties feared. It became a respite center for the many single ladies and many celebrities and public officials were named and shamed. The group is still active but not with the same legitimacy having resorted to poor jokes and odd illuminati and demon stories.

Whether it is people looking to sell sex, items, get relationship advice, shame cons and men, or just gossip, this group has it all. It has given rise to many Kilimani Mums pages all with quite a sizeable community
