These Are The Top 10 Highest Earning African Presidents. You Will Not Believe Who Was Number 1

Jose Mujica the former president of Uruguay who ruled from 2010-2015 was known as the world’s poorest president.

He donated more than 90% of his $12,000 per month salary to the less fortunate and small entrepreneurs. And instead of leaving in a palatial palace he lived in a farm with his 3 legged dog and wife, in addition he drove a 1987 blue VW Beetle. Imagine that.

But while Mujica is humble in his ways, other leaders especially in Africa earn quite a lump sum, at times at the expense of those they rule.

Last year Uhuru and Ruto took a pay cut, but according to a research done by Africa Review correspondents for Mail & Guardian South Africa, he is still the highest earning.
