Throwback Fashion Moments: Let’s Skip All The Way To The 60’s.

My granny speaks of the Seventies, it was a glorified fashion age, more like the literal age of enlightenment that saw some of the best literary works of our generation. The 60’s, your toothless grandmothers will tell you, thrived in the  graceful, the chic, the floral and the  vibrant and have to this day today dictated what we consider as fashionable- Retro fashion to be precise..

 Ofcourse we can begin by talking about the “hippie movement” a fashion and intellectual bandwagon that was deeply rooted in North America before spreading to other parts of the world in the 60’s.  Hippies according to an internet source is “A member of a counterculture originating in the United States in the 1960s, typically characterized by unconventional dress and behavior, communal or transient lifestyles, opposition to war, and liberal attitudes toward sexuality and the use of marijuana and psychedelic drugs”-  For now,concentrate on Fashion.

whatever we call fashion today has advanced and evolved over time. What we have today is an embellished form, a  bettered form of something that existed in the 60’s. We are not that brilliant after all. Yes?
