Top 20 African Hip Hop Artists Of 2015. Octopizzo The ONLY Kenyan On The List But Number 1 Must Have bribed His Way There (Photos)
Wapi nduru ya Octopizzo? Has anyone seen the masculine-endowed rapper? Khaligraph must be rushing for a rope to hang himself by now. Tell him asijitie kitanzi just yet!
South African hip hop magazine has released a list of the continent’s best rappers of 2015. Kenya was sufficiently represented by none other than Octopizzo himself.
While some people are still making noise about Khaligraph being the king, Kayole’s finest was nowhere close to the radar of the SA magazine.
Khaligraph recently dropped a track dubbed ‘I Am King’ featuring DJ Creme Dela Crème but even his audacious declaration in the song couldn’t land him a spot among the continent’s heavyweights.
The list was dominated by west Africans, Ghanaian and Nigerians rappers were everywhere on the list with Sarkodie and Ice Prince leading the way.
Talking of Sarkodie, everyone knows he is the continent’s finest rapper, right? Well, South Africa’s AKA dethrone him on the list.
Sarkodie came second with Nigeria’s Ice Price closely following him on the back. Oh! Almost forgot, Kibera’s finest was ranked 13th.
