Musician Tresor Riziki was yesterday night held at gunpoint during an attempted hijacking ordeal, in central Johannesburg.

The multi-award winning singer, songwriter and producer, was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo and despite the many challenges he had to endure, worked as a car guard by day and security guard by night. In between the two jobs, he hustled in the Durban music scene, and quickly made a name for himself.

In  a detailed post on his social media accounts, the singer said in part, “Last night I was almost killed. Almost bit the dust. I am grateful for life. Live out loud today. Tomorrow is not certain. Please be safe. ”
