Turns out Uganda is no different when it comes to thief brutality at reggae concerts. Kyle knows better
Yap! It happens to the best of us. You work your feet off for that pay check and when you decide to spend some of it in that reggae concert of your favorite Caribbean artiste, some lazy good for nothing obbs think you are obligated to share with them what you have. Uganda’s ex Big Brother stargame contestant, Kyle discovered this the hard way.
Sean Paul gave an electrifying and vibrant performance in Uganda this past weekend and Uganda’s Kyle wasn’t going to miss that for the world. Currently, he is at home nursing swollen wounds after thugs attacked him at the concert, along with the rest of the revellers stealing valuables and everything else they saw of value.
Typical reggae concert. Most of the fans are actually used to it right now, making those that have only heard about the nature of it, scared out of their wits to ever attend one.
But their is light at the end of the tunnel. Fear not fellow reggae lovers for if you attended the past Tarrus Riley and Etana concert, you would know that reggae concerts here in Kenya has turned a new leaf. The peaceful environment that was witnessed at that concert (Tarrus Riley and Etana) was unbelievable judging from the Kenyan reggae concerts history. Not one blow was thrown nor a single security related complaint registered by the security personnel at the Carnivore grounds that night. That is how far Kenya has come in reggae concerts and we are not about to turn back now.
So, in anticipation of the Jah Cure concert this coming December 1st, I say unto thee Kenyan reggae lovers, fear not for we are passed that. We will enjoy the Jah Cure concert if it is the last thing we do… (hopefully not).
