Twitter Bigwig And Blogger Cyprian Nyakundi Goes Into Hiding. Claims His Life Is In Danger

He was at the height of his blogging career, bringing in readers in droves, gaining more popularity than your off-the-mill Kenyan celebrity. He was living the life.

But things went South pretty fast after Safaricom sued him for defamation. As if that was not enough, he was exposed after he tried extorting money from BIDCO. But that is not all, Cyprian claims that his life is in danger!

“My life in danger.” he tweeted ominously on the 21st of August.

“Who has sent CID to arrest me. Proponents of free speech now want to silence me. They have sent CID to arrest me. What crime have I committed? If they want me to record a statement I can. Why surrounding my house and freezing my bank accounts? Dear Kenyans things are bad. For the last three weeks, strange people have been trailing me Then on Friday around 9 guys tried to arrest me. I narrowly escaped. It is said they were CID but I’m not sure

They tracked me with my Safaricom line and phone serial number. They arrested my cousin after failing to get me. They demanded for my Laptop but it was not there. They say ” many people ” have reported me over my online activities. hey have left my photos all over Langata for a reward in case anybody sees me. This is just bad. I am trying to look for a safe place to go to. Were these people CID or people sent to kill me?” he wrote.

Before claiming that BIDCO was after him “THE BIDCO guys sent them. BIDCO blackmailed me with an audio where they wanted to bribe and now want to Kill me. If they have genuine issues why not go to court. Strange men have always stopped me on the way trailing. Now looking for me everywhere.” he wrote before apparently going into hiding.

The last tweet he sent out was this “I will tweet when I get a safe place or country because it seems there is no freedom in Kenya. But ask Vimal why he wants to kill me.”
