Barbie Speaks up about Grenade attack on her Family.

  • This political game is getting dirtier and dirtier. Someone out there is targeting the opposition MPs with a motive that is not completely known by the people of Uganda. Grenades are dropping from the sky and “mysteriously appearing” on their compounds. Recently, Hon Allan Ssewanyana and Robert Kyagulanyi have been attacked.

Grenades where thrown into MP Kyagulanyi Robert’s home in Magere, which exploded, but thanks to God he told the news that nobody got hurt. The honorable also confessed to the public that he has been constantly receiving death threats from a few weeks back, that he ignored.

Bobi Wine points at shattered window

Anonymous calls targeting not only me but my family as well. I have been told that if i don’t leave that thing alone, I will just be terminated and disabled! The world is watching.

The  country city has a large percentage of Ghetto and Bobi Wine is not about to be scared away so soon, because he knows the population will support him. He posted on his twitter

Nothing can stop an idea whose time has come. Well, if you kill one, perhaps a thousand more will rise up

Our sources also indicated that one grenade was thrown at their sons’ window and the other at their daughters’. This however did not please Barbie, and the mother decided to let her voice be heard. She said that they had no reason to fence their home with a wall, but maybe this is the time to do so. Barbie warned that her children must not be touched. Here is a video from NBS

The other Red Ninja Members of Parliament decided to offer support by visiting their colleague at his home, sharing  a few laughs and a cup of tea. However, they were all arrested and taken to Nagalama Police station. Once again, the Members of Parliament were released and this still does not scare Honorable Kyagulanyi as he indicated.

Robert Kyagulanyi threatened with Grenades for resisting Age Limit

Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi seems to have bitten of more than he could chew this time.

The former ghetto president is experiencing the highest form of intimidation with his life and family’s life being threatened by higher powers.

However posted on his Facebook page that he refuses to be cowardised.

“GRENADES have for the second time in two days been thrown at my house and exploded. Property damaged and no one hurt! But what kind of country are we now living in?”

I had decided to ignore the blasts and these threats, but it seems they are now getting real.

Let me announce to the whole world that these past days I have been receiving death threats on an almost daily basis. I have also been advised by some friends who know more than I know that I should be very careful what I eat or drink, how I drive and from where, whom I meet, even who touches me while I go to Parliament. Apparently something could be done to me during the kind of scuffle that happened when state agents invaded the Parliamentary chamber!

Reason? Opposing the removal of age limits in the Constitution! Anonymous calls targeting not only me but my family as well. I have been told that ‘if I don’t leave that thing a lone, I will just be terminated or disabled.’
These are cowardly acts which must be condemned by all people of good conscience. We are not involved in war. We are just citizens who are interested in a good country for ourselves and the generations to come. WE SHALL NOT BE INTIMIDATED. Let them know that NOTHING can stop an idea whose time has come. If you kill one me, perhaps a thousand more will rise up. The world is watching!”

Bobi Wine Speaks about Ban from media Interviews

The Ghetto president is not keeping quiet. Like he once said; “If the parliament does not go to the Ghetto, the ghetto will come to parliament.” Indeed he is living by it and representing. Last week, he was suspended during the scuffle in the August house, arrested and detained for a day.

Word coming in is that Capital Fm, which was supposed to host the show received phone calls from Uganda Communications Commission, directing them not to proceed. Back in the past, the radio station was also asked not to host Mr, Frank Gashumba, and now it is Robert Kyagulanyi.  Bobi Wine however has a new hit out and I wonder if these interviews may be cancelled too. In a face book post, he indicated that after consulting other media houses, he found out that they too received the same order.

The team

My message to them is this;

Learn from history, but again, dictators never learn from history. White people say that history repeats itself but Eriya Kategaya said ” stupid people repeat history”, I believe Kategaya.

Whenever regimes attempt to suppress the press and keep people in darkness, they never go far. You may switch the radios off air, but you cannot switch off the resolve of the people to protect and defend the Constitution and to better their country. You can switch off some microphones- but the people shall soon speak- loud and clear.

Let me also ask, what reason do they give for this directive? On what law is it based? If it is because of last week’s events at Parliament, how are they related to what we say in the media? Is Mr. Mutabazi now the Speaker of Parliament outside Parliament???

Let me remind him that Ugandans are watching. All state institutions are better off not being part of this crime- the rape of the Constitution.

I call upon all TVs, Radio Stations and the print media to ignore this illegal directive. Article 29(1) (a) of the Constitution of Uganda states that ‘every person shall have the right to freedom of speech and expression which shall include freedom of the press and other media.’ The highest Court in this country has also stated that “the right to freedom of expression extends to holding, receiving and imparting all forms of opinions, ideas and information.

Everyone is free to express his or her views. Indeed, the protection is most relevant and required when a person’s views are opposed or objected to by any part of Society.”
Perhaps the reason why they used phone-calls is because they know what they are doing is illegal and not tenable in the 21st century.

I know that this Constitution means nothing to them, but it is important to tell our friends in the media fraternity that the directive is not only illegal and unconstitutional, but also immoral. As Martin Luther King jr. said, “One has a moral responsibility to disobey unjust laws.” The media should, and must ignore it. Be on the right side of history, comrades! As these past events have showed, you are either with the dictatorship or with the people! The people’s side shall win.

Throughout history, dictators target the media because it is the vehicle through which citizens get to hear the truth. But as they say lies are no match for the truth. We should not fear those who fear the truth. The truth is one and the same- Uganda shall be free. This cause shall not be silenced. It shall not be limited by narrow laws and directives.

We shall reach our people! The message must go out. We are the country, we are the future and the future is today. Eno ye ssawa!

They should also remember that we are in this age of social media. The world is more connected than before. Tell your friend to tell their friend that I shall still communicate to the world through facebook, twitter, and our website. If they stop us from going to radio, we shall send out voice notes on whatsapp. No matter what happens, we shall speak- because we speak for the people. And the voice of the people is the voice of God.

Bobi Wine however went to shut down Media houses in Mubende, over the weekend. He was surrounded by a large crowd of people as he made his way through.

He posted;

When you’re barred from all the media stations and suspended from parliament but Mubende people have something different to say.

Bobi Wine is not qualified to be in Parliament- Kato Lubwama

Rubaga South MP Kato Lubwama  and former comedian said in an interview yesterday that Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine acts like a primary one kid and is not qualified to be in parliament.

This comes on the heels of the recent exchange of blows that happened at the chambers.

Bobi Wine is one of the parliamentarians that are championing against amendment of the constitution on Age Limit.

This lead to his suspension from parliamentary proceedings for 3 seatings.

Hon Kyagulanyi- Bobi Wine Arrested at Entebbe Airport

This week, two of the country’s presidents were out of the country. The Ghetto president and the Nation’s president. One was in the same room with ex-President Barrack Obama and the other with President Donald Trump.

Today, H.E/Hon Kyagulanyi (Bobi Wine) returned from the US, only to find the country and his youth still recovering from the shock of yesterday’s demonstrations and heavy tear gas.  There was a little confusion at the National airport today, as the MP and his team were rounded up and the main man arrested. Apparently, there was a rumor that the police required him to make a statement about a piece of information that he had let out to the public before he went for his trip abroad.

Hon Kyagulanyi returns

The police blocked the Kyadondo East MP and tried to deny him entrance to his vehicle, which prompted disagreements with Bobi Wine’s supporters.

On the contrary, Uganda police Force claim that the singer/ parliamentarian had wanted to hold an unplanned procession with a group of people, and that could have caused a stir and unwanted traffic problems, and further led to many people missing their flights. Bobi wine is currently being held at the Entebbe Airport and being asked to go to Entebbe Police Station, to discuss further with the police.

Bobi Wine’s car blocked

He was meant to have an interview on NTV The Beat today with Douglas Lwanga. We are not sure if this will take place though. Could this arrest be in relation to the video that Bobi Wine made?
