Following a heavy downpour over the weekend, the Kabale-Katuna road was damaged because of the landslides.This left a lot of vehicle users, and passengers pralysed and stranded, as the incident occurred at around 1am following heavy rainfall since Thursday. Part of the road which was however still being used by light traffic, has also started developing cracks.<\/p>\n<h5>ALLEN KAGINA VISITS THE SITE OF THE DAMAGED ROAD<\/h5>\n<p>Uganda Police have therefore taken action and issued warning signs to redirect all the road users. All the traffic has therefore been sent to the newly completed Ntungamo-Mirama Hills road to connect to Rwanda. The Uganda National Roads Authority Boss, Allen Kagina has communicated when she visited the site,\u00a0 that the damages on this road will be repaired.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_10404\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-10404\" style=\"width: 696px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ghafla.co.ke\/ug\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2018\/05\/b-4.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-10404\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghafla.co.ke\/ug\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2018\/05\/b-4.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"696\" height=\"522\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ghafla.co.ke\/ug\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2018\/05\/b-4.jpg 696w, https:\/\/www.ghafla.co.ke\/ug\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2018\/05\/b-4-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-10404\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Allen Kagina visits the site of the damaged road<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&#8220;There are a lot of heavy rains and the network is experiencing some challenges. My intervention is not a small one. We might have to bring in a contractor. We have an alternative road through Ntungamo-Mirama Hills.
