NTV Uganda journalist, Raymond Mujuni, has brought to our attention that he and his colleagues will not stand back. Together with the Cyber Lay initiative Uganda Limited, Opio Daniel Bill, Baguma Moses, Okiror Emmanuel, Silver Kayondo, he has filed a suit to challenge the tax.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<em>We have filed our suit challenging the <a class=\"twitter-hashtag pretty-link js-nav\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/SocialMediaTax?src=hash\"><s>#<\/s><b>SocialMediaTax<\/b><\/a>. Lawyers are currently serving the attorney general, UCC and URA and actively seeking a date for when the petition can be heard and disposed off. It however came into practice in July, that to access any of the social sites, one had to pay a daily fee of 200 shs.
