The event, which carved a special place as the most anticipated event on Uganda\u2019s social calendar returns to Kampala after a six-year break.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ghafla.co.ke\/ug\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2018\/07\/goat-races3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13240\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghafla.co.ke\/ug\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2018\/07\/goat-races3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"680\" height=\"452\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ghafla.co.ke\/ug\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2018\/07\/goat-races3.jpg 680w, https:\/\/www.ghafla.co.ke\/ug\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2018\/07\/goat-races3-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 680px) 100vw, 680px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>At an official announcement made Friday, July 13 at the Speke Apartments in Kampala, the organisers confirmed the long wait is over as the ultimate fun show in Uganda will be happening on Saturday, August 25, 2018.<\/p>\n<p>This event which was last held in 2012, will be hosted at its customary venue of Speke Resort, Munyonyo, and is powered by Tusker Malt. It promises to recreate one of the most eagerly awaited weekends of merrymaking and extravagant fashion, which were the hallmarks of the Goat Races for years.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ghafla.co.ke\/ug\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2018\/07\/goat-races1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13238\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghafla.co.ke\/ug\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2018\/07\/goat-races1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"680\" height=\"452\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ghafla.co.ke\/ug\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2018\/07\/goat-races1.jpg 680w, https:\/\/www.ghafla.co.ke\/ug\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2018\/07\/goat-races1-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 680px) 100vw, 680px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Goat Races were easily the most popular event on Uganda\u2019s social calendar for all the time they were held, so we wanted to bring that amazing experience back with fun-filled activities everyone can participate in,\u201d said Sheena Ruparelia, the event coordinator, at the relaunch press conference.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur focus is on the races and activities around that, but there will be hospitality tents available, a food court with up to 10 types of cuisines; a beer garden, cocktail and champagne bars, sport games, silent disco areas, and chill-out lounges,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ghafla.co.ke\/ug\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2018\/07\/goat-races.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13237\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghafla.co.ke\/ug\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2018\/07\/goat-races.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"680\" height=\"452\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ghafla.co.ke\/ug\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2018\/07\/goat-races.jpg 680w, https:\/\/www.ghafla.co.ke\/ug\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2018\/07\/goat-races-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 680px) 100vw, 680px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are excited about the return of the Goat Races, which we consider the social event any fun-loving person would look forward to the most in Uganda.
