Ngoobi, an alumni of Nkumba University and city socialite known as ‘Vegas’ set his house ablaze, with himself inside.<\/p>\n

Some people say he was possessed by ancestral spirits that caused him to act as thus. They also backed this up with claims that this wasn’t the first time something strange was happening at Ivan’s house.
\nHowever, Ngoobi’s family denied these claims and indicated that this could have been a murder.<\/p>\n

Ivan Ngoobi was at\u00a0\u00a0Lyamutunde village, Mpala zone in Katabi, Entebbe when this happened. His father however says they thought their son lived in Gayaza and were not aware of his movement to his girlfriends home in Entebbe. Ivan also had a bar, Las Vegas, near Nkumba University, and was in charge of Vegas Events.<\/p>\n

From our various sources, we have also come to know that Ivan is a socialite around town and has organised parties known as “blue parties” This time, the event was to take place on 26th October.<\/p>\n

One of the friends to the deceased reported to police that as they where preparing for this party, he witnessed his friend’s bedroom filled up with smoke due to the fire.<\/p>\n
