We will not say this is the first time that an artiste has disappointed the people of Uganda. Tarrus Riley is not coming to Uganda!<\/p>\n

We had bought our hottest outfits, saved up a sum of money, and called up our favourite buddies to attend what could have been the reggae\/ragga event of the year. However, on his social media, Tarrus Riley has confirmed to the people of Kampala that he will not be performing. He however says all this is because of the sponsors.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is amazing how quickly we as black brothers and sisters tend to speak badly of each other without getting all the facts, I have waited my entire career and it was like a dream come true to play in Kampala, Uganda. <\/em><\/p>\n

My team has held this date for over three months only to receive an email from the promoters of the event two days ago which stated \u2018Unfortunately, due to events beyond my control, our exclusive sponsor for the event, notified me only last week that they would not be fulfilling their contractual obligations\u2026Due to this situation I am asking that we reschedule for a time when I am able to generate capital and secure a diversified sponsor base to make the concert happen.\u2019 My team and I are VERY disappointed but this is no fault of mine.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
