They have not been afraid to face the lions, and achieve what women were once said to be unable to. Today, we celebrate Dr. Maggie Kigozi.<\/p>\n<h4>A DOCTOR BY PROFESSION<\/h4>\n<p>When the name comes up in a search engine, there are billions of descriptions to describe this lady. one of them is that she is a doctor by profession. Professor Margaret Blick Kigozi has a Bachelors in Medicine and one in Surgery. She has achieved a lot in her field, and practiced in Kenya, Uganda and Zambia. Every teacher would call a perfect student, and every child would call a perfect parent. She takes her action in her co-curricular and has represented Uganda at international sports events. Did you know that she was a national junior tennis champion between 1968-71, and a Champion in motorcycle riding?<\/p>\n<h4>SHE CARRIES HER FAMILY NAME<\/h4>\n<p>She carries on the legacy of her family. The Blicks are known for their fierce talent in motorcycle riding, and winning different championships. Dr. Maggie Kigozi has lived her life, but still carried on her family brand in one hand. She is a woman who is not afraid to jump on a motorcycle, and ride it to the finish line. She also represented the country in hockey, lawn tennis and squash. Her knowledge gave her a profession, but her talents expanded her area of expertise. From her medical career, Maggie joined Crown Bottlers Uganda Limited as a Marketing Director.\u00a0 She worked her way to the top, through promotions, and a final appointment to the post of Executive Director, at the Uganda Investment Authority, after five years. This adds a tag of a recognized investor, to the descriptions of this powerful lady. A sign of the power she has over everything she does, was when UIA won the prestigious Corporate Location Prize for the best investment promotion agency in Africa and the Middle East in 2001.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Maggie defies the odds. She is not the description of what a woman was known to be fifty years ago. Here is\u00a0 a list of many other achievements tagged to her name.
