University student Akwilina Akwilini shot dead by a police man finally laid to rest

A student, Akwilina Akwilini from the collage of NIT in Tanzania was shot dead on 17th February; by a stray bullet as revealed on social media.

Apparently the young lady met her untimely death after the police allegedly shot in the air;  to control a crowd of hundreds of Chadema party people trying to force their way to a certain office nearby.

Her death left many pointing fingers at Tanzanian government who later agreed to carter for everything used for her funeral.

Akwilina’s dad

Having received the sad news; Akwilina’s dad is said to have gone for two days without being himself after losing a daughter who he had struggled to educate.

The government is however looking into the matter; and the late Akwilina’s family will be compensated as revealed by several news outlets.
