Veteran Actors And Musicians Begged Me For Ghc 50 To Buy Chicken— Kwaku Manu

Being a veteran celebrity in Ghana is hard. Mostly these veteran actors or musicians find it difficult to provide for themselves after they leave the limelight.

Kumawood actor, Kwaku Manu spoke about such veterans recently. He said there remains many of such veterans in the system. These veterans are broke and have nothing to survive on.

Kwaku Manu made these statements on Hitz FM.  He said many of them contacted him during the festivities. They asked for sums of money as low as Ghc 50 to buy chicken for their families.

Kwaku Manu made the revelation whilst making a larger point about hardships in Ghana.

His Statement

“I’m not an MP or president but I’ve pople who call me 24/7 demanding for money. I received calls from veteran musicians and actors requesting for Gh50 just to buy chicken for their family. There are people who cannot even afford chicken for their family are still in this country which is sad”
