Memories of Daniel Owira aka ‘Otonglo Boy’ are still fresh; the teenage who touched the President’s heart during the National Drama Festivals in Mombasa to make Uhuru adopt him. Well, Arap Samoei has also borrowed a leaf from his boss!

It seems the political class has resorted to adopting underprivileged children, which is a very good thing by the way.

President Uhuru took in Otonglo, Mike Sonko Baby Osinya and now hustler has also adopted a baby girl abandoned by her mom.

DP William Ruto made his way to Masinga, Machakos County to join well-wishers in launching Madre Ippolita Children’s Home Sustainability Fund.

It was during his trip there that he met baby Nadia who deeply touched his heart by her depressing story that he decided act. Nadia was abandoned by her own mom while she was only a few days old.

The DP decided to adopt her and gave her his mother’s name, Cherono.

“Humbled to adopt Nadia who was abandoned as a new born and has been under the care of Sisters at Madre Ippolata Children’s Home. I’ve named her Cherono after my mother.” Wrote Ruto.
