Why CBK Governor Rejected A Range Rover, Mercedes Benz and a VW Passat Offered To Him
Some of the perks that come with power are money, luxury cars and an opulent home in the most exclusive estates.
And almost every politician or human that is in a position of power generally have these things at their disposal, but not Dr Patrick Ngugi Njoroge.
Mr. Njoroge who became the Central Bank of Kenya governor recently rejected cars that CBK governors are offered for use such as a Range Rover, Mercedes Benz and a VW Passat.

And that is not all; he also rejected a luxurious house in the leafy Muthaiga suburbs, security detail and a smart phone. In lieu of the posh house he will be living in Nairobi’s Loresho estate with other members of the Opus Dei (Latin Work of God), a section of Catholic Church.
The Opus Dei was established Spain in 1928 by Josemaria Escriva de Balag and has spread to about 66 countries, the section emphasizes that “everyone is called to holiness and that ordinary life is a path to sanctity.”
So maybe that is why he has chosen the simple way of life as opposed to extravagance.

Francis Ng’ang’a Now that’s a principled man…what the CBK and govt needs.
Alex Machira For the first time in Kenya. We need to know him better, he may be the only good guy in Kenya.me excluded
Chris Macharia This guy never stops to amaze me. I think all our other leaders should be forcefully enrolled to opus dei, then maybe kenya will become a first world country..
