DCI Rescues 48 Women, Arrests Suspects In Ongata Rongai & Kiserian Sex Exploitation Raids

Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have dismantled two major sexual exploitation rings in Ongata Rongai and Kiserian, rescuing 48 women and taking multiple suspects into custody.

In a statement released on Friday, July 24, 2026, the DCI confirmed that the coordinated raids targeted human trafficking networks accused of forcing young women into commercial sex work and the production of explicit digital content.

“In the fight against sexual exploitation and the production of obscene material, detectives have ramped up their operations in Kiserian and Ongata Rongai, uncovering shocking enterprises preying on our young women,” the DCI stated.

Breakdown of the Operations

• Ongata Rongai Raid (Rimpa Area): Acting on public tips, officers raided a residential house and rescued 30 women aged between 19 and 27. Detectives recovered seven camera-equipped laptops and specialized production gear allegedly used to stream explicit material. The arrested suspects are being held at Ongata Rongai Police Station.

• Kiserian Raid: Detectives rescued 18 women who had reportedly been lured with false promises of domestic employment before being forced into sexual exploitation. Laptops and mobile phones were seized as evidence, while police continue the hunt for the ring’s chief organizer.

The 48 rescued women have been placed under police protection to receive medical aid, psychosocial support, and safe shelter placement.

The crackdown comes just days after DCI detectives raided a similar online exploitation hub in Embakasi East, Nairobi, where five women were rescued. Police say investigations are ongoing to uncover the broader network behind these operations.
