Deputy President Kithure Kindiki departed the country on Friday morning, July 31, 2026, heading to Entebbe, Uganda, to represent Kenya at the Second Extraordinary Summit of the African Union Support and Stabilisation Mission in Somalia (AUSSOM).

Kindiki boarded a Kenya Air Force aircraft at the airbase, where he was seen off by Defence Cabinet Secretary Soipan Tuya alongside senior military and government officials.
