Fuse ODG Reveals How He Met English Singer Ed Sheeran

UK-based Ghanaian Afrobeats singer, Nana Richard Abiona, better known as Fuse ODG has disclosed how he met English singer Ed Sheeran.

According to the “Boa Me” hitmaker, he became friends with Ed Sheeran after meeting

him many times on shows.

He further explained that, after meeting him several times on shows he asked Ed Sheeran

to make a trip with him to Africa and he said yes.

He revealed this when speaking in an interview.

“Again with him, it’s like every shows that I was billed on to perform he will also be on the same show, so as time goes on we started talking at backstage and he said he loves my music and I said if you love my music that much then come to Ghana and he said yes so basically that’s how we became friends”.

Shatta Wale Is Africa’s Dancehall King – Vybz Kartel

Renowned Jamaican Artiste Adidja Azim Palmer popularly known as Vybz Kartel has

endorsed and crowned Shatta Wale as the king of African dancehall in a latest post.

In an Instagram post by Vybz Kartel who was imprisoned some time ago gave Shatta Wale and

his SM fans another bragging right over Stonebwoy and BHIM Natives as the fans of Stonebwoy

and Shatta Wale have long been ‘fighting’ as to who is the best amongst the two top artists.

LilWin To Drop New Hit Song ‘Anointing’ Feat. Kuami Eugene

Actor cum musician, Kwadwo Nkansah, aka Lilwin is set to release a new track to the listening

pleasure of his fans.

The Kumawood actor has announced that his latest single featuring Kuami Eugene

will be released on Monday, December 10, 2018.

The song titled “Anointing” was produced by renowned beatmaker – K.C. Beatz.

Gospel Artiste ‘Da Prince’ Releases New Single Titled ‘Yesu’

Solomon Leonard Baidoo known in the gospel music circles as “Da Prince” has released his latest single titled “Yesu”.

The new single produced by renowned beatmaker “Appietus” would thrill gospel music loving fans especially,

as Ghana prepares to celebrate the birth of Christ in the next coming days.

The gospel sensation who is the Head Pastor of Zion Princes Churches, in an interview with GNA Entertainment,

indicated that the new single was meant to pave way for his third album which would be launched early next year.

“This single is one of my favourite tracks and I want my fans to enjoy it as we praise Jesus Christ.

This song is part of the few singles, I have released in the year, as I prepare to release my third album,” he said.

He said he was ready to perform on the big gospel stages in the country,

I’m A Proud School Dropout – Tracy Boakye

Ghanaian actress and movie producer, Tracy Boakye has revealed that she is proud to have

dropped out of school at the time she did.

According to the young entrepreneur, she decided to drop out of school when she was in

her second year at the Senior High School at Angel Educational Complex.

She however added that even though her family didn’t agree with her, she is a very proud school

dropout because she believes she would have wasted a lot of her precious time in school if she

had completed.

The Signature Unisex Salon owner made this revealation in a lastes interview on ‘Celebrity Ride

with Zionfelix.’

She also continued that all through her life, all she had wanted to be was an entrepreneur and an actress.

Miss Boakye also noted that if she had decided to complete SHS, she wouldn’t have been where she is today.

Tracy also made the point that contrary to suggestions that she dropped out because she was

‘dumb’ academically, she was very good in Mathematics and English but her only problem was Science.

The movie producer also revealed that she decided to stop schooling in her second year at Angel

Educational Complex SHS in Kumasi because she saw the sort of pressure public sector workers get because of their work.

Tracy Boakye therefore, wondered many times if that was going to be her fate after her education. And since she didn’t want to be told what to do all the time, she believes it was a great decision she took.

‘The ‘Devil Between My Legs’ actress and producer further told Zionfelix during the interview

that she is a proud owner of a six-bedroom house, two fine cars, and a business all because she

didn’t allow a classroom to confine her from becoming what she really wanted to be.

As such, she is very proud that she dropped out of school.

Nigerians Adore Our Talents – Prince David Osei

Awards-winning Ghanaian actor, Prince David Osei has urged Ghanaians to love and appreciate talents in the country.

According to him, it’s about time Ghanaians began supporting their own rather than using Nigerian stars as benchmark in the showbiz industry.

Prince is certain that if Ghanaians develop the habit of supporting and loving each other’s

talents, it will promote the industry.

He further added that Ghanaians will stop finding faults with local acts altogether because they are good at their acts.

“In Ghana we don’t really appreciate our own and support our own, that is the hallmark of the whole problem. If we celebrate our people and appreciate the talents God has given to this nation, it will go a long way to encourage people to go beyond being a star in Ghana and looking beyond,” he stressed.

In a telephone interview on Accra based Hitz FM, the actor revealed how on his visits to Africa’s most populous nation, Nigerians appreciate and love Ghanaian talents.

He also noted that even some Nigerians wish to shoot movies with Ghanaian actors and actresses.

“When we meet head to head, they are afraid. They go like Ghanaians are intelligent, Ghanaians speak good English, Ghanaian movies… some of them will love to come to Ghana, to them it’s a big deal to come and film in Ghana with Ghanaian actors and actresses.”

Prince David Osei said although Nigerians adore Ghanaian talents, they don’t discourage their own.

“They adore Ghanaian talents and appreciate us too much…, (but) they also appreciate their people and don’t just condemn their own.”

The talented actor also admitted that Nigerians are making impacts globally because of their ambitious nature.

“Nigerians are naturally aggressive to success, they will do anything to succeed… Nigerians are very ambitious, everywhere you go Nigerians are making impacts,” he said.

Prince David further stressed that there are a lot of good talents out there but because they

don’t get the necessary support, they are forced to go out somewhere to be accepted.

Shatta Wale And Sarkodie Doing Secular Music Is Not Wrong – Prophet Eric Boahen

General overseer of Creator’s House Chapel, Prophet Eric Boahen talks about secular music. According to him, it isn’t wrong for a Christian believer to do secular music. He made these statements during his private birthday party.

Moreover, he made it clear that people should not be judged based on the songs they do. He added that it was because of the likes of such people that God came to die.

Also, he stated that the likes of Sarkodie and Shatta Wale sing songs which are considered gospel based on the lyrics in such songs. Therefore, they can’t be entirely described as non-believers or sinners. The man of God also opined that such musicians have people who follow them and admire them for the sort of songs they do, which in one way or the other gives them some sort of advice on the things they should do or not do.

Therefore, he concluded that they do what the Lord called them to do.

Ceccy Twum Headlines 2018 ‘Gold Worship’

Award-winning gospel musician, Ceccy Twum has a gospel musical concert. Moreover, it is the ‘Gold Worship’ concert. This comes off on Sunday, December 9 at the Royalhouse Chapel, near Obetsebi Lamptey Circle in Accra. This year’s event is the third edition. It is under the theme: ‘Bless The Lord Oh My Soul’.

Donzy Blasts Prophet Nigel Gaisie For His Constant Death Prophecies

Ghanaian rapper, Donzy talks about prophecies. He addressed Prophet Nigel Gaisie for his constant death prophecies.

Donzy made these statements on ‘Zionfelix Uncut’. Moreover, he spoke about how prophets tell Christians to see them in order to overturn such ‘evil’ prophesies.

According to him, they should rather allow them to die. This is because the scripture makes the point that death is a blessing to the believer. Therefore, once a Christian dies, he goes to Heaven.

Furthermore, he states that that such death prophets need to stay clear of his path. The rapper added that he simply does not believe in their prophecies. He further tells them that he at every point in time, he wants positive energy around him and not the negative ones from these prophets.

Ghanaian actress, Rosemond Brown talks about her newfound fame. She revealed that “doing stupid things” got her the fame nine years of acting couldn’t.

Award-winning musician from group R2Bees, Mugeez talks about his dream collaboration. Moreover, he joins a long list of musicians who want a collaboration with American superstar, Rihanna.

He further revealed that one his greatest wishes is to collaborate with the American superstar.

He made these statements during an interview on Joy FM’s Cosmopolitan mix with Doreen Andoh. Mugeez said that he wanted to do a “sweet highlife song with Rihanna”.

I’m a game changer in the gospel music industry – Lady Prempeh

Gospel artiste, Lady Prempeh talks about her legacy. Moreover, according to her, she is a pacesetter in the gospel music industry. Therefore, she introduced a style of releasing songs which she thinks others may soon copy.

After a long period of absence, she released a single titled ‘Aseda’ on November 25, 2018.

However, she won’t release all the songs on the album. Lady Prempeh says she will ‘drop’ the songs on the album one after the other every other month.

Furthermore, she stated that when she collaborated with Asem, Pamela and Richie people criticized her. However, others copied that move.

She made these statements in a radio interview on Hitz FM

“I have always been a game changer, I did ‘odo yi wohe’ people didn’t understand it at that time, they felt it was weird but now, most gospel musicians are doing the same thing, so I think when I do it they will all follow.”

Also, she stated that her church has no problem with her because the church understands she was winning souls to Christ.

“…it was our main target, so I should rather be applauded than to be bashed.”

Africans Need Positive Results For The Continent To Progress – Van Vicker

Ghanaian Actor Van Vicker has shared his views on what the African continent needs to do in

order to progress.

expressed a valid opinion about the way forward for the African continent to progress.

Speaking at the the just ended All African Music Awards, the international multi-award

winning actor mentioned that he is delighted about the joyful way all Africans have been highly

represented for the awards.

“Hello it gives me the joy to have all African seated here tonight, joy is what we

need, joy gives motivation, motivation can generate results and that’s what we need. ”

Van Vicker however made this statement at the time he was presenting Award for best Female

artist  in Central Africa category.

are happy in life it brings motivation.

Van also noted that if you are happy with yourself you are motivated to do

Criss Waddle Drops New Song “King Kong” Feat. Kwesi Arthur(VIDEO)

CEO of Arab Money Gang(AMG) record label, Criss Waddle is out with a new tune for the christmas.

Titled “King Kong,” the song features former BET Nominee Kwesi Arthur.

The song is however accompanied by a video directed by Yaw Skyface.

Prior to the release of the video, there was a documentary which was featured and it talked

about the life story of the mogul who takes it upon himself to motivate the youth on the street

via his social media handles.

In the song “King Kong”, Criss Waddle started with hard punch raps that are motivational and

inspiring then Kwesi Arthur followed with a trap way catchy chorus.

He also touched on issues about the AMG Family, indicating that, he and Medikal were relating

good and have no plans of parting ways.

Don’t Focus On Social Media Trends – Elder Francis Agyei

Ghanaian gospel music legend, Elder Francis Agyei advises gospel musicians. Moreover, he stated that they should not focus on social media trends. Also, not to the neglect their spirituality, which is the bedrock of their chosen path,

“Gospel Music is spiritual and a ministry. It is not all about sitting on facebook for trends and canvassing for votes. You should trend in the anointing of doing something good” 

He made these statements to The Spectator ahead of the launch of his ‘New Covenant’ album. Furthermore, he added that was not condemning any artiste for using social media. However, they must use it positively in spreading the works of God and not negativity.

Also, he urged them not to leave behind spirituality and chase popularity, adding that being a gospel artiste goes beyond just singing.

For him, as a gospel musician, one should know God, spend time with their creator

“God will reveal himself and gift you the artiste with an anointed song” 

Therefore, he advised gospel musicians to be circumspect and spiritual in all their endeavour to be able to produce spirit- filled songs to change the lives of people and liberate them from bondage.

Looking at the gospel music from his break, Elder Francis Agyei said, many musicians had come into the scene, but the impact of gospel music on Christians and the country was less.

 

We Don’t Beg Bloggers To Post Our Songs – R2bees 

Ghanaian hiplife artistes, R2bees says hardly would they call on any publicist to publish a story on their behalf in the name of hype.

According to the Tema-based music duo, they believe in producing good songs that will

sell themselves hence they refrain from relying on bloggers to push their content.

Speaking on Joy FM’s Cosmopolitan Mix show with Doreen Andoh on Friday, member of the group, Omar Sterling said;

“I would never send you a song to post for me. [The reason is] I trust the music so much and I believe it will do just right.

“I don’t think we went through hardships because we started our record label. We don’t know people. We don’t get a lot of good press.

He also added that;

We don’t care about all these things. We believe in our music. It’s all about the fans. It’s always been all hands-on board if we are to give gratitude to anyone.”

R2bees are however set to launch their new “Site 15” album early next year.

“We’ve pushed our new album to next year because we just dropped the single, “Beautiful”. We worked on it for three years,” Omar said.

I’m A Novice In Music – Hitmaker’s OV

MTN Hitmaker Season 7 winner OV, has revealed that she came into the competition knowing nothing about music.

According to her, the competition was a perfect platform for any underground artist because

it exposes one to different things.

“It’s a very big platform… I didn’t want to come for hitmaker but when I came, I saw that I did not know anything… so I had to learn.” she said in an interview on Accra-based Hitz FM.

OV, who is also known as Okailey Verse, also acknowledged the fact that, the competition

was tight and that every contestant was a challenge to her.

“In my first performance, I lost my voice and it was terrible. I thought I was going home the next week… I saw everybody as competition,“she said.

OV became the second female to win MTN Hitmaker competition after Freda Rhymes.

My Accident Was God’s Plan – Yaw Siki(VIDEO)

Former Ghanaian rapper, Yaw Siki, has disclosed that his gory accident in 2013 was

God’s plan to fulfil the purpose in his life.

It will be recalled that rapper Criss Waddle recently said, the former hiplife artiste Yaw Siki

was forced to give his life to Christ because of potholes and the bad state of the Accra-Tema Motorway.

But in an interview with host Ayisha Bayipa on SVTV Chat, which airs on SVTV Africa,

Yaw, who is now a born-again Christian refuted the claim.

He however insisted that his accident was God’s plan to fulfil God’s purpose in his life.

You know God used the accident to draw me closer to Him, for me to know Him and see

His power, so for me, my accident was God’s plan to fulfill His purpose in my life,” he said.

Asked whether he is still cool with his old friends, he replied “we don’t get time to sit and chat like we use to do but sometimes we chat on social media.” he added.

After surviving a gory accident in 2013, the musician, born Isaac Okai, gave his life to Christ and started preaching the gospel.

The accident on the Accra-Tema Motorway did not just leave him bedridden for months, but it also renewed his faith in God.

I’m The Biggest Kumawood Actress After McBrown – Yaa Jackson

Kumawood actress, Maame Yaa Konadu Jackson declares herself as one of the biggest stars in the Kumawood movie industry.

Moreover, according to Yaa Jackson, she is the second biggest actress in Kumawood. This is because her competition is star actress Nana Ama McBrown.

The 17-year-old made the bold claim while speaking in an interview with Delay on the Delay Show.

Furthermore, Delay asked her whether she considered herself to be a star. She replied in the affirmative saying McBrown was the only one ahead of her.

Delay reminded her about the existence of other top stars like Emelia Brobbey. However, Jackson giggled and said they all understood that she was the second best.
