Shatta Wale To Host His Thanksgiving Concert On 28th December; Same Day Of Stonebwoy’s ‘Bhim Concert’

It seems the scores would finally be settled in a matter of a few days from now as to who

is Ghana’s biggest dancehall artiste, between Shatta Wale and Stonebowy.

This is due to the fact that both artistes have set the same day to hold their major concerts this year.

Stonebowy a few days ago announced December 28th as the day for his ‘Bhim Concert’ at the Fantasy Dome in Accra.

Well, his arch-rival, Shatta Wale has also a few hours ago announced the same day he’s holding his ‘Thanksgiving Concert’.

Many Ghanaians however believe Shatta’s move is set to cause a flop in Stonebowy’s concert.

We however believe the end will justify the conclusion so we’re keeping our fingers crossed

to see who finally wins amongst these two artistes thus if none of them changes the date.

Wearing Miniskirts, Skimpy Dresses Is Fashionable – Konadu Rawlings

In Ghana and most parts of Africa, putting on skirts and skimpy dresses by women is often regarded inappropriate.

This issue, which as well runs in some parts of the world is often associated with tradition/customs, believes or religion.

Whiles some see it as fashion, others still maintain that it’s inappropriate or yet still a taboo for a woman to put on such clothes.

However, with the evolution of fashion, the issue seems to be dying slowly though some countries and cultures still detest it.

Sharing her views on the subject however, former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyemang

Rawlings has Okayed the wearing of miniskirts by ladies.

She however stressed that, the fact they are worn is not an invitation to men to rape them.

Founder of the 31st December Women’s Movement who said she was fond of wearing miniskirts

as a student at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) as known

in the present day, explained that wearing miniskirts does not make one bad.

Making an appearance on Metro TV Good evening Ghana, the wife of the former Military ruler

stated emphatically that she is not among the bandwagon who criticizes ladies for wearing skimpy dresses.

“I don’t…no I don’t. I was one of the people who said it is wrong for people to think that because a style is in fashion, it makes the person who wears it bad. No that is not it…the person just wants to be fashionable and wear a mini skirt why not” she justified.

In her view, though she never wore hot pants which came after miniskirts her colleagues did, giving a history of such dresses and which succeeded the other.

“They were wearing hot pants, I never wore a hot pant anyway. They were wearing hot pants in TECH…after the miniskirts came the hot pants and then came the midi and the maxi. It is fashion and should not be a basis for people to want to rape girls. That is dangerous”, she said.

It would be recalled that some institutions including the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ) two years ago banned the wearing of skimpy dresses they described as revealing clothing, as such inappropriate ways of dressing.

This they noted was veering the focus of students from the main purpose for which they had enrolled in the school and therefore outlawed such clothes.
