Why Dump My Flat Ass Sister?- Wanlov Quizzess Medikal In New Song

Controversial Ghanaian musician, Wanlov Kubolor is out with a hot new tune and is already gaining massive airplay due to its compilation.

Titled 2018 ‘Gh Wrap Up’ is the wrapping of all the activities in 2018 here in Ghana.

He took his time to give us all the 2018 fillas. One of the things he touched on with his lyrical creativity, is Medikal and Sister Derby’s break up.

Wanlov expressed shocks at Medikal for dumping his sister for Fella Makafui because

the former has flat buttocks.

Deborah Vanessa and Medikal ended their relationship after years of being together to

the shock of many who were envisaging a marriage.

The two have since the breakup not told the world the reason behind their breakup.

Meanwhile, Medikal has moved on and is now with Fella Makafui who he has said he

respects so much.

Speaking on the breakup in a song released to close 2018, Wanlov mentioned that he is sad

Medikal left his sister for Fella Makafui.

According to him, if it was big buttocks Medikal wanted he could have informed him

and his family so they would have pumped that of Deborah Vanessa for him.

Wanlov added that if Medikal wanted a hard African face like that of Fella Makafui,

he and his family could have worked something out to get Deborah Vanessa that look.

Wanlov however expressed his gratitude to Medikal because the breakup with Deborah has

rather been a blessing since her song is now a hit and has earned her several shows.

”I Will Not Be Part Of Any Political Party” – Sarkodie

Multiple awards-winning Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie has posited in an interview how he

repels politics.

According to the ‘Highest’ album maker, he doesn’t hope to become a ‘politician, but would

love to serve in any other leadership position in the future.

The rapper who has received countless prophecies earmarking him for greatness said in an interview on Hitz FM that he would love to be a leader in Ghana in the future but has no plans of joining any political party.

Touching on the subject, he noted, “I don’t like the tag politician. I would love to be a leader of something”.

On if or not he will align himself soon with a political party, he responded, “I will not be part of any political party”.

Sarkodie though not affiliated to any political party nor a card bearing member of one, have in

the past registered his dissatisfaction with the performance of the erstwhile Mahama led

government and have in the few years ranted on Twitter about the ill done by the current Nana Addo government just like any well-meaning Ghanaian will do.

Stonebwoy Asks To Be Recognised Among Best Male Vocalists Of The Year

BHIM president, Stonebwoy has his sights on new territory. It seems the dancehall artist wants a nomination among the best male vocalist artiste of the year. This is during this year’s at the 2019 VGMA.

Moreover, yesterday, Chaterhouse announced the official opening of nomination for its 2019 edition of the Ghana Music awards.

Social media greeted the news with their opinions on who the deserving musicians and songs are. However, Stonebwoy throws his hat in a different category apart from reggae/ dancehall. He made a certain suggestion towards the award scheme.

In a tweet, the “Top Skanka” hitmaker asked the Ghana Music Award scheme to recognise him as one of the top Male Vocalists.

Ebony Didn’t Touch My Manhood In ‘Sponsor’ Music Video – Mr Kwarteng Reveals

Mr. Opoku Kwarteng, father of the late dancehall act, Ebony Reigns, has refuted rumours

that Ebony touched his manhood in ‘Sponsor’ video.

According to him, it was all acting as they’d been practicing it a lot before the video,

hence, knew what to do.

He, however, declined to any prior activity in acting as he really delivered in the “Sponsor” video.

He also in another development rubbished the rumours that sister of the ‘Maame Hw3’

hitmaker, Foriwaa Opoku Kwarteng, is being groomed by him to replace her late sister in the music industry.

According to Starboy who made a lot of revelations on the 2019 maiden edition of Zylofon’s

Showbiz Agenda, Foriwaa is very good with music but there’s no plans to groom her for that profession.

Mr. Kwarteng was on the show to promote the late Ebony Reigns’ legacy and her newly released

song “Be your Driver”.

He, however, revealed that the songs to be released will be under a new record label, Kwarbony

Records, to be officially confirmed.

He added that the family is in the process of adopting a ward at the accident center at Korle Bu and also launching a foundation to honour the departed songstress.

The Sarkcess music boss appeared on Franky5’s special ‘This Is Gospel’ show on Hitz FM. Moreover, he revealed that he never set his eyes on his biological mother until he was in junior high school.

He stated that this happened because his dad took him away from his mum when he was still a very little boy and took handed him over to a caretaker. Also, he stated that growing up with this caretaker was not as pleasant as he wanted. This was because they denied him the pleasure of growing with his mother. Also, his dad was not around to be the father figure in his life.

Furthermore, Sark revealed that in all of those challenging days, the only thing he did was to pray to God and ask for protection and blessings. This led to his mother coming to his school, Achimota Preparatory, one day. He stated that as soon as he saw his mum, he immediately took to his heels and run into the warms and lovely arms of his mother.

Nominations Opened For 2019 Ghana Music Awards

Charterhouse, the organisers of the annual Ghana Music Awards announced the opening of nominations. Moreover, they announced that it accepting entries for this year’s special edition of the awards.

They announced this in a press statement signed by George Quaye. The release went ahead to detail how interested musicians submit their works for nomination.

Sarkodie Talks About How He Met Tracy

Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie talks about the love story between him and his lovely wife, Tracy. Moreover, their love story is one that many people envy. This is because of how long the two stayed together. Also, because of the love, commitment and dedication they showed to each other over the years.

The award-winning rapper has for the first time revealed how he met Tracy Sarkcess. Sark stated that he sighted Tracy for the first time in the area where his mom stayed. Rosemond Brown Puts Ghana Movie Awards On Blast

Controversial actress, Rosemond Alade Brown lambasts the organizers of the 2018 edition of the Ghana Movie Awards. According to her, they intentionally took out her name from the nominated category when it was time for the names to appear on the screen.

Furthermore, this came about after she responded to a question from a fan on her IG. Brown revealed that she decided not to talk about the humiliation she suffered at the hands of Fred Nuamah and his Ghana Movie Awards team. This is because God already blessed her with four awards already in 2018.

However, she spoke about it since her fans asked her. In her disclosure, the video vixen made the point that she didn’t understand how they could nominate her in a category but never mentioned on the night

Also, she revealed her shock when she realized that they moved those in the same category with her to different one. This enabled them to pick up awards. Rosemond brown ended her rant with the statement

Terminate Your Contract If You Are Not Happy With Us – Zylofon Media

Head of Communications for Zylofon Music, Arnold Asamoah Baidoo talks about the acts on the label. Moreover, he states that any of the many musicians who are currently on the label can terminate their contract. According to him, this is if they feel that they are not getting the things they desired when they signed their contract.

He made these statements in a phone conversation on Happy FM’s morning entertainment show ‘Showbiz Xtra’. Furthermore, he stated that contracts are not shrines. This means people can freely get out of them when they feel so. Therefore, if artists Joyce Blessing, Stonebwoy, Obibini, Shatta Wale and the others on the label feel are fed up, they should just follow the due process to get out of the contract.

Also, he admitted that Zylofon and its sister company Menzgold are currently in crisis. Therefore, they’re not as supportive to the artists as they used to. However, he called on the artists to be grateful to their label in times like these. Also, they artistes must stop the constant display of enmity against the brand.

I Nearly Had An Accident After Humiliation Me At The Ghana Movie Awards – Musician

Ghanaian musician and actress, Nana Frema Koranteng talks about the Ghana Movie Awards. Moreover, she revealed that she was almost in a car accident. This was after the mistreatment from CEO of Ghana Movie Awards, Fred Nuamah, and actor Kalybos. This was during the Ghana Movie Awards which happened at the Kempinski Hotel

Nana Frema made these revelations during Zionfelix ‘Uncut’.

Furthermore, she stated that she was to perform at the awards event. However, host of the show, Kalybos and the organizer of the show, Fred Nuamah sabotaged her. Therefore, she appeared only on the stage when almost everybody else left the auditorium.

According to her, she was so frustrated, she nearly had an accident. Moreover, she spoke about the amount of time and money she invested into making her performance memorable. These thoughts nearly caused her accident.

Also, Nana Fremah pointed out that Fred Nuamah should have acted right by her. This is because she is an upcoming musician.

Zylofon Music Is In Financial Crisis – PRO Reveals

The Public Relations Officer (PRO) of Zylofon Music, Arnold Asamoah Baidoo has disclosed

that the record label is currently facing challenges. Speaking on Peace FM’s Entertainment

Review on Saturday, he noted that there has been a lull in the record label’s activities due to

a financial crisis.

In his explanation, Arnold said the challenges are as a result of the current problems the

parent company, Menzgold, is in.

“As we all know Menzgold has been facing some challenges in recent times and it is expected that as a sister company to Zylofon Music, the record label would encounter crisis too,” he stated.

This comes on the back of rumors that the company has asked some of its managers to

resign and that some of its artistes were about to exit the record label.

Even though Gospel musician, Joyce Blessing, has refuted claims that she has left Zylofon

Music record label, Arnold also stated on Peace FM that it is possible some of the artistes

may bail out on the company in the midst of the crisis.

“As we speak, Joyce Blessing is part of the record label. No artiste has left but the possibility of they leaving in times like this is imminent,” he told Graphic.com.gh in an interview.

At the moment some of the artistes are relying on their own means to promote their projects and craft.

Joyce Blessing is currently promoting her new single, Repent, which unlike previously, bears

no signature of Zylofon Music.

Zylofon Music stepped into Ghana’s entertainment industry in 2017 when they signed

Highlife musician, Kumi Guitar.

They later brought on artistes like Stonebwoy, Joyce Blessing, Becca, Obibini and Shatta Wale.

Founded by Nana Appiah Mensah, who also owns Menzgold, the Zylofon Media conglomerate

has under its umbrella other companies like the Zylofon Arts Club, Zylofon Arts Fund, Zylofon

Movies, Zylofon Cash, Zylofon FM and Zylofon TV.

At present, Menzgold Ghana Limited, a gold trading firm has been ordered by the Securities

and Exchange Commission to suspend its operations.

According to SEC, Menzgold does not have the license to trade in gold collectibles from the public.

Willie Roi Not A Good Father To Zylofon Media Artistes – Joyce Blessing

Gospel musician, Joyce Blessing talks about the head of Zylofon Arts Club, Willie Roi. According to her, he failed in his duties as a father figure to most of the Zylofon Media signed artistes

The gospel musician spoke about this in an interview with Doctor Cann on Happy FM’s ‘Showbiz Xtra Show’. Moreover, she stated that as a good father, she expected that Roi call her to inquire if there was any form of truth in her alleged break away from Zylofon. However, instead Willie Roi took to his social media platforms to lambast her for something which was never true.

Also, Blessing revealed that Roi had long problems with Bhim Nation boss, Stonebwoy and his team. Furthermore, she stated that she does not want to be roped into any form of beef. This is because they all belong to one label. Therefore, they have to work together for the betterment of the label.

“He should have investigated the issue before making any conclusion as an elder who is working with younger artiste… we are here and we know how his relationship with Bhim Nation is…”

Blessing stated that if she ever decides to break away from the Zylofon family she will follow the due process and have the contract terminated. However, until she decides to do that, she feels Willie Roi should give her a break because after all, he is not the one who signed her to the label.

I’m Under Pressure To Sign New Acts – Richie Mensah

One personality in the Ghanaian music industry who has proved his efficiency not only as an

artiste but also as a music producer and artistes manager is Richie Mensah.

About 5 to 6 years ago, Richie Mensah was an artiste who produced back-to-back hit tracks.

Years after thrilling fans with tracks such as This is Love, Frema, Changing Faces, among

others, Richie retired and set up his own recording studio, Lynx Entertainment.

As the CEO of Lynx Entertainment, Richie has successfully managed and produced some

of the best artistes the industry could ever boast of.

Richie Mensah who has been in the music business for over a decade has managed artistes

like Asem, Eazzy, OJ Blaq, Ziggy, Feli Nuna among others.

Richie Mensah’s Lynx Entertainment is arguably the biggest record label now, churning out award winning acts like nobody’s business.

The success of the label has obviously attracted many and Richie now says there is a lot

of pressure on him to sign other artistes.

According to the talented producer and beat maker, there are a lot of artistes who keep knocking at his door to manage them.

“I don’t want to mention names but I get countless calls and messages from artistes who want me to manage them but my answer to them is no because I am okay with the artistes I have now,” he said.

Richie explained that adding more artistes to his record label means more work which he is not ready to deal with.

“Managing artistes is not easy as some people see it. It takes time and commitment and I am okay with Kuami Eugene, KiDi and MzVee under the Lynx Entertainment Label,” he said.

Richie in an interview with Graphic Showbiz said that what he does now is to connect the

artistes to other people he thinks can do a good job for them.

He explained that although some of the artistes who pressure him to sign them on

are disappointed and not cool with him, there is nothing he can do about it.

“I won’t pretend I can do the work because of the profit I will gain, my hands are tied now with the artistes I have on my label,” he said.

National Chief Imam Addresses Muslim Youth Vandalizing Owusu Bempah’s Church

The National Chief Imam addresses his followers. This comes after some angry Muslim youth vandalized the church and billboards of Rev Isaac Owusu Bempah.

Moreover, according to the angry Muslims, their attack is in response to Owusu Bempah’s prophecy that the Chief Imam would die this year.

However, the Chief Imam himself, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, called for them to stop their attacks and let Owusu Bempah say whatever he wants without facing violence.

Gifty Osei To Name Next Album After Husband

Award-winning Gospel musician, Gifty Osei, has revealed that she is planning to celebrate

her new husband, Hopeson Adorye by naming her upcoming album after him.

Gifty Osei tied the knot with leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Hopeson

Adorye during the Christmas festivities and the ceremony was held privately at an unnamed

location in Accra, just like much of the relationship was.

Obviously basking in her new marriage, Gifty, unlike some of her female colleagues who keep

their maiden name even after marriage in a bit to sustain their brand has had no qualms

letting her old name Osei, which she has used in the industry for about 12 years, go and

take up her new name, Adorye.

On Saturday, January 5, Gifty Osei gave her first performance since she got married when she

mounted the stage for TV3’s Music Music show and her manager, Stephen Kenneth Nakujah,

disclosed to host, Benedicta Gafah that Gifty will be going through a re-branding process

after which she will not need the Osei surname.

“Gifty will be going through re-branding, plans are being put in place currently to make that happen. Everything about her is going to change, her craft as an artiste and all.

“In fact, she will be dropping her next album soon and it is called Adorye. We all know the name of her new husband is Hopeson Adorye so just do your calculations and I am sure you will get the drift,” he said.

When asked how it has been working with the mother of two for 12 years, Stephen said, “it has been amazing, Gifty is one talented musician who knows and understands what she is doing. She really comprehends what the showbiz industry is about especially the controversies that come with it.

“You hardly get her breaking down because of controversies, no, it is like she knows when it is coming and exactly what is coming and she brushes it off and moves on with her life like nothing happened,” he stated.

Prolific Ghanaian TV Personality and actress Nana Ama McBrown has confirmed that

she is actually pregnant, and is even expecting a set twins.
