Sarkodie To Release His Next Single In December

Multiple award-winning rapper, Sarkodie has sad news for his fans. He kicked off the new year with some ‘sad’ news for his fans. Moreover, he that he won’t release any single till December.

He took to Twitter to make the announcement. Furthermore, the Tema-based rapper asked his followers if they would be okay with him going on a musical hiatus for the next 11 months.

Can y’all gimme till December to release my next single ???

However, the decision attracted lot of reaction which got the hashtag #SarkUnreleased trending as some fans were particularly not excited about the news.

He stood by his decision and came forth to explain to fans the reason behind his decision.

Therefore, this means his fans will wait till December to hear some fresh sound from the Sarkcess Music boss.

You Can’t Attack Me Like You Do To Stonebwoy – Joyce Blessing Replies Willi Roi

The ‘Unbreakable’ Gospel musician, Joyce Blessing has gone hard on the Artiste and

Repertoire (A&R) manager at Zylofon Music, Willi Roi over his latest comments about her.

Joyce in an interview on Adom FMs Drive Time show dubbed “Ofie Kwanso” on Wednesday cautioned Willi Roi to desist from denigrating her image.

She politely asked Willi Roi to stop dabbling in her affairs since “he is not the one who signed me to Zylofon Music.”

The ‘I Swerve You’ hitmaker was earlier reported to have parted ways with the label for an

obvious reason known to the top managers at Zylofon.

She added that all artiste managers at the music label have been asked to resign from all their

positions, leaving her with no option than to name her husband, Dave Joy as new manager.

Following this reportage, Willie Roi in a Facebook comment asked the ‘I Swerve’ singer to return all the monies and loans she took from the label if she isn’t happy.

But reacting to this, Joyce Blessing denied parting ways with the label.

“I have not left the label and those who did the reportage came out to apologize,” she stated.

Addressing Willi Roi, she added, “He had to relax saying I should return everything. He didn’t sign me so he has no right to tell lies to Ghanaians. He can’t do to me like he did to Bhimnation [Stonebwoy].”

Meanwhile, Joyce is currently promoting her new song, “Repent.”

 

Deon Boakye Is Not Signed To High Grade – Samini

Revered Ghanaian Reggae/Dancehall artiste, Samini has refuted rumors that fast rising

Afropop artist Deon Boakye has been signed to High Grade Family.

The ‘Untamed’ album maker in an interview with Sammy Baah on Zylofon FM disclosed he

only endorsed the artist for his uniqueness and talent.

He however did not rule out a possible signing saying that should that happen, an official announcement would be communicated.

“Deon is endorsed by High Grade, but we have not…like signed him on as an artist that we are going to be managing. If that happens, we are gonna announce that…”, he said.

“And so far he’s been consistent with some of the stuff I’m hearing from him and I only hope that Ghanaians give him more ears and then eventually he can land proper”, Samini added.

During Samini’s performance at the 2018 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, he introduced the artist on stage saying;

“I’ve been watching TV and I’ve seen his video and I want to tell Ghanaians I want to sign this kid because I think he has more than what we have seen.”

Nominated for Unsung Artiste category in 2017, Deon Boakye has worked with the likes of Yaa Pono, Strongman, Kofi Kinaata, Medikal, Ko-Jo Cue amongst other influential names in the industry.

Delay Flaunts Her New ‘Bestie’ On Social Media

Ghanaian radio/television show host, Deloris Frimpong Manso looks happy. Delay and Ghanaian International footballer, Boakye Yiadom were all cozy in bed.

Moreover, since December, Deloris shares pictures on her Instagram page with the footballer with captions like, “Bestie for life @officalboakyeyiadom

Delay interviewed the international footballer on her DELAY SHOW back in 2015.

My Ghana Movie Award Is A ‘Win For The Laws Of Ghana’ – Regina Van-Helvert

Media personality and movie producer and actress Regina Van-Helvert has described awards

for her film, ‘Jungle Justice’, at the just-ended Ghana Movie Awards (GMA) as a win for

the laws of Ghana.

The film which is about mob justice picked two awards at the award ceremony in best

short film category and best actress in lead role, won by Yvonne Nelson.

Speaking about the movie in an interview with NEWS-ONE, Regina said she hopes the win

would further encourage Ghanaians not to take the law into their own hands by engaging in mob justice.

“Making ‘Jungle Justice’ was about challenging us as a people to allow the laws to work.

Many lives have been lost in the most saddest way through mob justice and we need to stop it. It can happen to anyone.

I am glad the film has won two major awards. For me, it is a win for our laws and the rule of law.

I hope it further challenges us not to take the laws into our own hands whatsoever. Let us allow the law to work. If someone does something wrong, report him or her to the police,” she told NEWS-ONE.

‘Jungle Justice’ was released on August 24, 2018 amidst a campaign against public extrajudicial killings in sub-Saharan Africa, most notably Ghana, Nigeria and Cameroon, where an alleged criminal is humiliated, beaten or summarily executed by a crowd or vigilantes.

Directed by Idowu Okeniyi and produced by Regina Van-Helvert, it however stars

Yvonne Nelson, John Dumelo, Strika, among others.

The movie further attracted widespread social media presence as people imbibed with

the message and joined the hashtag #stopjunglejustice across all social media platforms.

Regina is optimistic she would do more educative projects like ‘Jungle Justice’ to affect

society in the best way she can. The award for her film is however her first GMA win.

Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie talks about his life growing up. According to him, his life hasn’t always been that perfect. Moreover, the rapper revealed his guardian maltreated him during his childhood.

He spoke about this in an interview on Hit FM’s This Is Gospel with Franky 5.

According to him, his father took him to live with an elderly woman in Achimota who abused him on multiple occasions. He did not know his biological mother at the time.

“I spent a lot of my life at Mile 7…those were some dark times for me…I went through a whole lot…I didn’t know where my mum was and I didn’t know where my dad was…Dad took me to the woman to stay with her” 

“We were like seven people living in a small room. The maltreatment, as a child I think if you were living with your mum, this won’t be the situation…But I did survive that and that made me who I am”

Gifty Adorye Reveals The People Who Caused Her First Marriage To Collapse

Gospel musician, Gifty Osei talks about her first marriage. Moreover, she explained that people who she describes as viruses and insects were behind the downfall of her first marriage.

She made these statements to Foster Romanus on his ‘The Late Nite Celebrity Show’ On Etv Ghana. The new Mrs. Gifty Adorye revealed that some very close friends she had in the gospel music fraternity were the ones who caused the collapse of her marriage. Furthermore, she thought these people were her friends.

According to her, these former colleagues told her husband certain untrue things.

Also, Gifty stated that the wicked people in Ghana are in the gospel music industry. Moreover, she revealed that there are some colleagues of hers who have about 20 sim cards. They use this to go about the ‘mafia’ work and destroy the image and reputation of colleagues.

The songstress revealed that she was very hurt when she realized that some of these gospel musicians she thought were family were Judas Iscariot

Dr Kwabena Adjei Officially Launches Toku Foundation

Dr Kwabena Adjei launched the Toku Foundation. The foundation is to help in the education of brilliant but needy girls.

The launch took place in Trascaco Phase 1 Gardens. Moreover, several dignitaries including Nana Adwoa Awindor, Joseph Boahen Aido, Gifty Anti and Nana Ansah Kwaw IV were in attendance.

Toku Foundation, named after the father of Dr Kwabena Adjei. The foundation is passionate about the education and wellbeing of the African Child. The focus of this foundation is on Quality Education and girl child empowerment; helping underprivileged but brilliant children in society realize their dream of attaining the highest possible form of education through scholarship schemes.

The group, which is actively following the Sarkcess music boss on all social media platforms have embarked on an online demonstration against him for keeping them waiting for years without releasing their anthem.

Sharing a video on Twitter,  the group indicated that Sark fans are angry.

Govt Rules Out Bail-Out For Menzgold Customers

Government has no intention of bailing out customers of beleaguered investment company, Menzgold.

Minister of Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has urged the customers to follow

appropriate legal processes to get their monies back.

His comment follows growing calls by some customers for compensation from government

if Menzgold fails to refund investments.

Scores of disgruntled customers of Menzgold from across the country on Tuesday January 8,

2019 converged in the Ashanti Region to stage a demonstration to demand their locked-up investments.

Don’t Talk About Our Movie Industry If You’ve Nothing To Offer – Kwaku Manu

Kumawood actor, Kwaku Manu talks about the movie industry. Moreover, he asked Gabby Otchere Darko to desist from insulting the intelligence of Ghanaian actors and actresses. This is especially if he has no help for the movie industry.

Last year, Gabby Otcehere Darko indicated that after watching several Ghanaian movies they were not standard. Also, he stated that it was an indication of the poor work done by stakeholders in the industry.

However, his tweet received severe backlash from some actors and actresses in the country including Kafui Danku, Yvonne Nelson. They thought Gabby could encouraged players in the industry rather than condemning their works. This is because they invested huge sums of monies.

Furthermore, Kwaku Many spoke on the issue with Yvonne on Cooking with “cooks and braggarts”. Manu mentioned that if Gabby Otchere Darko does not have any help for industry, he should forever hold his peace

He mentioned that it is insane for any individual to compare Ghana’s poor industry to that of Hollywood that has all the funding and needed equipment for work.

55-Year-Old Man Wants To Meet Stonebwoy With Gold Masterpiece

A 55-year-old jeweller, Martin Ocran, who is a big fan of Dancehall artiste Livingstone Etse Satekla, popularly known as Stonebwoy says his 2019 wish is to meet this ‘Hero’ with a gold masterpiece.

Martin who hails from Aburi in the Eastern Region, traveled to Accra to deliver his masterpiece and to also let the world know Stonebwoy’s impact in the music industry.

In an interview with Adom TV,  expressed his love for the dancehall artiste as he showcased the masterpiece of the artiste and his wife.

“Stonebwoy is my mentor and someone I love so much. I always see him on TV and that is why I took time to make this beautiful masterpiece for him. Even though it is expensive, I did it willingly for him and although I wanted to hand over to him personally, I didn’t know where to find him on second thought and that is why I came to the media”, he said.

Going further, Mr Ocran read the words in the masterpiece out loud for Ghanaians to know

how much he cherishes the musician.

Call Me Empress Gifty Adorye – Gifty Osei Rebrands

Sensational Ghanaian Gospel musician Gifty Osei has revealed her new brand name.

According to the songstress, she now wants to be regarded as Empress Gifty Adorye.

This has become necessary since she is now married to Mr Hopeson Yaovi Adorye, a deputy

National Security Coordinator in charge of Airports who is also a leading member of the ruling

New Patriotic Party.

In a chat with Attractivemustapha.com, Empress Gifty Adorye reiterated that some media

houses and bloggers are still using her old name Gifty Osei and Empress Gifty as her stage name.

No Artiste Has Requested To Leave Zylofon – PRO

Communications Director of Zylofon Music, Arnold Asamoah Baidoo talks about the future of artists on the label. He spoke about this in an interview with Showbiz on Sunday.

Moreover, he set the records straight on happenings at the company. He stated that no artist requested to leave the company.

“A lot of quotations have been attributed to me but the most important thing that I want everyone to know is that none of our artistes has exited or wants to exit the label as is being rumoured. Joyce Blessing and every other artiste are still with the label” 

Furthermore, he gave details on activities at the company. He disclosed that there had been talks by Zylofon to review contracts of the artistes last year.

“As I said earlier, there was talk of the label revising the duration of their contracts. So, the only person whose contract was revised that, I as Communications Director have seen is Stonebwoy. The revision was last year. The contract expires this year even though his signing was in June 2017.

“However, every artiste signed for a period of four years and so it was a mutual decision between the company and the artistes to review the terms of contract” 

Friends Advised Me To Seek ‘Juju’ Protection – Sarkodie On His Music Journey

Celebrated Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie, has disclosed that he would have fallen prey to

people who asked him to “go somewhere” literally meaning-seeking juju protection when

he kick-started his career in music if not for his strong faith in God.

Sarkodie is undoubtedly one of the most successful rappers in Africa and his exploits in the music industry both in Ghana and Africa is incomparable.

Speaking to Accra-based Hitz FM in an interview, the rapper indicated that; “I survived in life just basically because of believing in this man up there”.

‘Punches Are Always Necessary And Allowed’ – Samini Says As He Eyes Album Of The Year Award

Ghanaian Reggae/Dancehall, Emmanuel Andrews Samini, popularly known as Samini, has expressed his views on musical lyrics.

Samini believes it’s always very necessary and allowed to throw punches in songs.

‘The Obimbra’ hitmaker was speaking about his 21-track “Untamed Album”, which was reviewed song-by-song on Zylofon FM’s Showbiz Agenda.

His comment however follows a question posed by the host of the show, Sammy Flex, about some lines in his “Ragga Dada” piece that seemed to be aiming a swipe at Shatta Wale, the self-acclaimed king of dancehall.

Below is the excerpt of the lyrics of the “Ragga Dada” song being discussed:

“what’s the king without a regiment? If you really want to battle with the better, check your readiness … you make the wrong move, a man, you no go get me o Rasta no be toy, them no fit set me o Them lay ambush and them try set me up But them know I’m good Jah, Jah bless me o It’s funny when a man said he’s gonna end my career When he can’t even run ten of my career Everybody knows, me, I be the benchmark for years”.

The “Linda” hitmaker accepted that the song which was produced by JMJ has some punches

and it’s very necessary and allowed to have them.

Samini, in another development also said he’s already won the 2019 VGMA Album of the Year

when he was asked whom he thinks can win the award.

He also revealed that he didn’t cut the cake his family presented to him with the knife given during his show in December 2018 on stage because he thought doing so will mean stabbing himself.

Vybrant Fire Wouldn’t Have Died If He Had Followed My Instructions – Mr Logic

Artiste manager, Mr Logic talks about his former artiste. Moreover, according to Mr Logic, Vybrant Faya would be alive today if he followed his instructions. Logic was the manager of Late Dancehall music performer Vybrant Faya.

Mr Logic had made this revelation on HitzFM’s DaybreakHitz with Andy Dosty

As maintained by the Artiste manager, he cautioned that the young talent was going to die. Furthermore, he did everything in his power to make sure he escaped death. According to him, he kept Vybrant Fire in a hotel for 6 months making sure he never crossed any road.

He said:

Vybrant Faya wouldn’t have died if he had followed my instructions. I cautioned that he was going to die. Also, I did everything in my power to make sure he was safe. I kept him in a hotel for 6 months. I made sure he wasn’t crossing any road. 

Dancehall artiste, Emmanuel Kojo Quayeson, better known by his stage name as Vybrant Faya died on Sunday, October 23, 2016 at the 37 Military Hospital in Accra. This was after an accident on the Tema Motorway.

I Dated Gifty Osei For 3 Months – NPP’s Hopeson Adorye Reveals

Hopeson Adorye, husband of Ghanaian Gospel diva Gifty Osei has revealed that his love

for the singer did not permit him to court her for a long time.

According to him, he dated the singer for about three months.

The politician made this known during his speech at their very private December 28 wedding.

Mr Adorye said he was in a hurry to marry her after she told him she was single.

“When she told me that she was single, I was excited because I am a divorcee and had eyes for her the very day I met her at an event she had come to perform at, he said.

“You know I saw a ring on her finger that day and was scared she may belong to someone so I kept quiet but once in a while; I called her to find out if she was doing well. It was on one of these occasions that I got the courage to ask if she was married and she answered no.

“So trust me I did not want to waste any time at all because this was something I wanted the very day I set eyes on her so after a month of dating her, I went straight to do knocking and then thanks be to God, from October to December, here we are as husband and wife,” he added.

Mr Adorye continued, “I can tell everyone here with all sincerity that my heart is at peace

knowing I have her now. In fact my children are very happy about us, they love her and her children love me too.

“This is the work of God. Another thing is that she has never asked me for anything before,

nothing and for me it is a good thing.”

In his advice to people in relationships Mr Adorye said, “There is no point in saying I am with

someone and I am studying the person, one year, two years, what are you studying? You just have to be vigilant and if you like it, just go in for it.”
