TV host, George Quaye has made some statements about the realities of the Ghana Movie industry. He stated that the profession does not pay well and that is why he quit.
He made these statements to substantiate what Shirley Frimpong-Manso’s statements that some actors and actresses live fake lifestyloes for the public.
George is widely known for playing the role of Aboagye in the hit series ‘Taxi Driver’. He is now the Public Relations Officer of Charter House.
He stated that a producer once gave him GHC 3.00 to act a role in a movie. He said that when he realised how hungry and desolate the industry was, he advised himself.
