Hanna Benta Denies Leaking Sheryl Gabriella’s Private Videos

Hanna Benta has denied allegations circulating on social media that she and her boyfriend, fellow TikToker and pilot Steve Nice, were behind the leak of content creator Sheryl Gabriella’s private videos.

Speaking during a TikTok Live session on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, Hanna insisted that neither she nor Steve Nice shared the videos online. She also claimed that Sheryl had long known the videos could eventually become public.

According to Hanna, she had been aware of the videos for nearly two months and even received a message from Sheryl a day before they surfaced online.

“I have had those videos for about two months. Even yesterday, Sheryl texted me and said she was happy the videos had finally been leaked because she had been living in constant tension. She knew they would eventually come out; she just didn’t know when. I can even show the screenshot,” Hanna alleged.

Hanna further claimed that the videos were leaked by someone else. Without naming the individual, she alleged that the content had first been sent to a TikTok user she described only as being on “Level 34” on the platform because Sheryl believed he was single.

She added that the man’s wife later discovered the videos on his phone and was the one who posted them online.

“When Sheryl sent those videos to that man, she didn’t know he had a wife and children because he had never told her. The man’s wife later found the videos on his phone and leaked them. So it wasn’t us,” she claimed.

Hanna urged social media users to stop linking her and Steve Nice to the controversy, saying the accusations had unfairly damaged their reputations.

“So stop tarnishing my name and that of my husband by saying we are the ones who leaked them. I cannot keep quiet while people twist the story to make it look like we exposed her,” she said.

Public reactions

The controversy has continued to spark debate online, drawing reactions from several public figures.

Among them is Nairobi County Chief Officer for Citizen Engagement Geoffrey Mosiria, who called for investigations into the circulation of the videos, saying authorities should first establish whether any laws were broken before taking further action.

Mosiria’s remarks were later criticised by Salvation Healing Ministry founder Pastor Victor Kanyari, who argued that Sheryl should not be publicly shamed or threatened with arrest over videos that were allegedly shared privately with a former partner.

Kanyari said many people exchange intimate content with partners in confidence and urged compassion instead of condemnation.

“So Mosiria, I heard your statements. Stop it and stop calling for her arrest. Leave her alone and let her live her life,” Kanyari said.

Neither Hanna Benta’s claims about the source of the leak nor the circumstances surrounding the videos have been independently verified.
