Former Samidoh Manager Arrested for Fraud

Moses Marite, the former manager of popular Kenyan musician Samidoh, has been arrested and charged with fraud. The arrest stems from allegations of mishandling security deposits from a club in Sagana that had booked Samidoh for a performance.

According to reports, Marite accepted multiple advance payments on behalf of Samidoh without informing the artist. This led to disputes with various clubs, including the one in Sagana, where the missing Ksh 100,000 deposit was reported.

Samidoh severed ties with Marite in September due to these ongoing issues. Marite was subsequently arrested and arraigned in court on October 22nd. He is currently in custody and requires Ksh 100,000 bail to secure his release.

Friends and acquaintances of Marite have initiated a fundraising effort to raise the necessary bail amount. They have established a WhatsApp group to coordinate the collection of funds.

The incident has cast a shadow over Marite’s long-standing professional relationship with Samidoh, which began during their school days. The case is set to be heard on November 12th.
