Weezdom Slams Bahati Over Viral Cross-Dressing Video: “This Isn’t Comedy, It’s Confusion”
Former gospel manager and entertainer Weezdom has publicly criticized musician Bahati over a viral video in which the singer wears his wife Diana Marua’s revealing gym outfit — a clip that has ignited widespread debate across social media in Kenya.
In the now-viral Instagram video, Bahati is seen confidently strutting in Diana’s tight orange crop top, micro-shorts, and high heels — mimicking her signature gym look in what appeared to be a light-hearted skit between the couple. However, not everyone was laughing.
Weezdom’s Strong Rebuke
During a recent interview on a local entertainment radio show, Weezdom expressed his disappointment, describing Bahati’s behavior as a step too far.
“Bahati has crossed the line. There’s a difference between entertaining fans and stripping yourself of dignity. Wearing your wife’s clothes—especially shorts that barely cover anything—what message are you sending to the youth who admire you?” he said.
Weezdom, who once considered Bahati a mentor, urged him to return to his gospel roots.
“He needs to repent and go back to singing for God, not chasing clout with such gimmicks. As a father and public figure, he should be setting a better example.”
He went further to describe Bahati’s antics as “gender-blurring comedy” that, in his view, is misleading and inappropriate.
“This isn’t comedy. It’s confusion. It’s heartbreaking to see someone with so much talent resorting to this just for views.”
Diana Marua Reacts
Diana, who was featured in the video and appeared amused, left a playful yet telling comment under Bahati’s post:
“Ghaaaaaaaiiiii Hata kama…. You’ve taken this too far.”
Though humorous, her response suggested a hint of discomfort amid the growing criticism.
Divided Public Opinion
The video quickly drew thousands of reactions online, sparking a heated discussion on celebrity behavior, masculinity, and boundaries in content creation.
One user wrote:

“Bahati uko na watoto bana. Unavaa nguo za bibi yako kweli?”
Others, however, defended Bahati, seeing the clip as harmless fun and a reflection of the couple’s strong bond. Still, a significant number of fans found the act embarrassing and urged the singer to consider his image more carefully.
“Bring back Andrew Kibe,” one user sarcastically commented, referencing a popular media critic known for calling out controversial celebrity behavior.
Bahati Responds
In the caption of the original post, Bahati offered context for the stunt, revealing it was meant as playful revenge:
“Tit for Tat, stay away from my clothes Diana,” he wrote, alluding to times he found Diana wearing his T-shirts and boxers.
While Bahati and Diana have built a reputation for sharing humorous, relatable content as a couple, this particular video has reignited conversations around celebrity accountability and the boundaries of humor.
With figures like Weezdom weighing in, it’s clear that even in entertainment, some actions may be seen as crossing a line — especially when performed by public figures with significant influence
