Rising Kenyan artist Iyaani is facing an ultimatum from his new girlfriend, Shes Kemunto, just a week into their relationship. Kemunto has urged the “Donjo Maber” hitmaker to marry her within six months, putting pressure on their new romance.

In a recent YouTube interview with Alex Mwakideu, Kemunto was direct about her expectations.

“You need to marry me quick… how fast? At least six months,” she said, making it clear that their relationship must lead to marriage without delay.

Kemunto’s demand follows Iyaani’s surprising revelation during an interview on Saturday, September 20, 2025. The 27-year-old musician disclosed that he is still a virgin and that he and Kemunto have chosen to remain celibate.

“I have been dating Kemunto for a week now,” Iyaani explained to a stunned Mwakideu. “When you meet the right person, you do not need a whole year to get to know each other… I am still a virgin, and even Kemunto will agree with that. I am 27 years old, and I am serious about it.”
