Speaking with Milele FM presenter Ankali Ray on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, Vivianne confirmed she was happy for the couple, emphasizing that both have successfully moved on to new chapters.
“Of course, life has to move on na mimi pia nimepata mtoto, nimekuwa ulaya sasa nimekuja kutembea kidogo (and I have also been blessed with a child, I have been abroad, and now I have come for a short visit),” Vivianne responded when asked about Sam West’s impending wedding.
She stressed that life is composed of distinct seasons, and once a season concludes, it is crucial to embrace change rather than clinging to the past.
“We live in season; season fulani ikiisha, you cannot bring the dead back to life, lakini unaka unasema let us move forward kila mtu afanye kila kinamfurahisha (when a season ends, you cannot bring the dead back to life, but you sit and say let us move forward, let everyone do what makes them happy),” she added.
Vivianne’s New Life in Kenya and America
Following her breakup with Sam West, the singer relocated to the United States, where she was recently blessed with a baby boy named Jasiri. She has chosen to keep her current partner out of the spotlight, prioritizing privacy.
Vivianne confirmed that she will now be dividing her time between Kenya and America. “Nikiwa ready nitawaambia lakini mujue mimi sahi ni Kenya America hiyoo ndio maisha yangu (When I’m ready I will tell you, but know that my life now is split between Kenya and America). Mungu amenibariki na baby boy anaitwa Jasiri (God has blessed me with a baby boy named Jasiri).”
Sam West Prepares for Spiritual Milestone
Meanwhile, Sam West is preparing to wed his lover, Precious West, in a highly anticipated ceremony scheduled for next Saturday. Sam confirmed that the past is firmly behind him and he is ready to build a stronger, faith-anchored foundation.
He clarified that the photos he had shared on Instagram, which many mistook for wedding pictures, were only from their engagement, stressing that the upcoming ceremony is more than an event—it is a spiritual milestone.
“Hiyo ilikuwa engagement, harusi ni wiki ijayo, itakuwa Jumamosi (That was the engagement, the wedding is next week, it will be Saturday),” he said. “Tunaambia mungu atusaidie kwa sababu ni kitu mzuri sana kufanya kitu njia ya mungu, unahakikisha ndoa inaanza on a good foundation makossa ya kitambo haturudii (We are asking God to help us because it is a very good thing to do something God’s way. You ensure the marriage starts on a good foundation; we are not repeating past mistakes).”
West advocated for a modern, decisive approach to marriage, noting there is no need to delay once families offer their approval. He concluded by reflecting on resilience:
“Kwa hii dunia ukianguka unafaa uamke… huwezi baki kwa mambo ya kale (In this world, if you fall, you must get up… you cannot remain in the past).”
The Former Relationship
Sam West and Vivianne’s relationship lasted from 2016 until their breakup in 2022, having held their traditional wedding in March 2018.
