Millicent Omanga Flaunts “Doctor” Husband To Clear Out Her DMs Amid Political Shift
Former Nominated Senator Millicent Omanga has taken a playful yet firm stance against online suitors by publicly celebrating her husband. In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, the politician sought to put an end to persistent inquiries about her relationship status.
“Behind Every Successful Woman is a Doctor”
Omanga, known for her vibrant social media presence, admitted that her inbox has been flooded with messages from men asking if she is single or seeking advice on her success. To curb the influx, she shared a rare tribute to her spouse, highlighting his profession.
“Behind every successful woman kuna mwanaume (there is a man)… and mine happens to be a Doctor. Now, those DMs asking ‘are you single?’ and ‘how did you succeed?’ should reduce a little,” she stated.
The move is seen as a strategic effort to refocus public attention on her political brand as she gears up for a major campaign.
A High-Energy Arrival at DCP Headquarters
The personal revelation comes amidst a significant political transition for Omanga. She recently made headlines by defecting from President William Ruto’s United Democratic Alliance (UDA) to join Rigathi Gachagua’s Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP).
Her official arrival at the DCP headquarters was marked by a viral moment where she engaged in an energetic dance challenge with supporters. Dressed in party colors, the Nairobi Woman Representative hopeful was seen dancing to booming music alongside supporters wearing green outfits emblazoned with her name.
The Battle for Nairobi 2027
Omanga’s shift to the DCP and her alignment with the Linda Mwananchi movement—a coalition featuring firebrand politicians like Edwin Sifuna and Babu Owino—sets the stage for a competitive 2027 race.
“Many people have been asking what my plan is for 2027. I will be on the ballot for the Nairobi Woman Representative position,” she declared in February. Her path to the seat is expected to be an “epic clash,” as she faces a diverse and formidable field of candidates, including; Karen Nyamu- The Nominated Senator currently aligned with the UDA, Corazon Kwamboka-popular social media personality and lawyer.
As the incumbent Esther Passaris prepares to defend her record or move to a different seat, Omanga’s early campaigning and strategic “personal branding” suggest she is positioning herself as the candidate of the people—with a doctor by her side for support.
