After chatting mad shi and getting banged up, Arrow Bwoy makes excuses for his loss

Arrow Bwoy has broken his silence following his loss to Ugandan socialite and boxer Shakib Cham during the celebrity boxing event Vurugu 2, held on Saturday, June 20, 2026.

In a post shared on Instagram on Sunday, June 21, 2026, Arrow Bwoy admitted that the fight was much more challenging than he had anticipated, saying boxing requires far more than what many people see from the outside.

The highly anticipated bout ended in a technical knockout, with Shakib taking control of the fight in the early stages and forcing a stoppage. The match had attracted significant attention due to the public rivalry between the two personalities and the entertainment value surrounding the event.

Reflecting on the experience, Arrow Bwoy said he entered the ring with confidence and courage but quickly discovered the physical and mental demands of the sport.

He revealed that he only had about 20 days to prepare for the fight and that health challenges also affected his training process.

Despite the outcome, the singer said stepping into the ring was an important personal challenge that tested his discipline and courage.

“Respect to Shakib Cham for the win and big up to Oga Obinna and the team for putting this together,” Arrow Bwoy said, congratulating his opponent and the organisers.

A tough but valuable lesson

Arrow Bwoy described the loss as a learning experience, noting that boxing is not only about physical strength but also endurance, strategy and mental toughness.

“Last night didn’t go my way, but I walked away with something more valuable — experience,” he said.

The singer added that the fight helped him understand the level of preparation required in boxing, emphasising that the sport demands commitment both physically and mentally.

“Boxing si rahisi,” he stated, a comment that resonated with many fans online.

No regrets after defeat

Rather than viewing the loss as a failure, Arrow Bwoy said he sees it as part of his personal growth journey. He explained that taking on a new challenge outside music was an opportunity to test himself and step beyond his comfort zone.

“A loss is not the end of the story. It’s part of the journey,” he reflected.

The musician also thanked his fans, trainers and supporters who stood by him throughout his preparation and during the event.

Organised by media personality Oga Obinna, Vurugu 2 featured a mix of celebrity and professional boxing matches, becoming one of the most talked-about entertainment sporting events in the region.
