Andrew Kibe calls out Mosiria’s serial simping, calls it dangerous for men

Geoffrey Mosiria has fired back at sharp criticism from controversial content creator Andrew Kibe over his handling of the viral video case that has dominated online conversations in recent days.

Kibe, in a series of heated online remarks, accused Mosiria of fabricating and exaggerating details surrounding the incident involving Kenyan national James Opande and Marion Naipei. He claimed Mosiria had misrepresented the facts, unfairly targeted Opande, and overstepped his mandate as a public official.

In a viral clip circulating across social media, Kibe went as far as calling for Mosiria’s removal from office, saying:
“Mosiria is a danger to society and Governor Johnson Sakaja should sack him.”

Mosiria Responds

Mosiria did not stay silent. Taking to his own social media platforms, he defended his actions and rejected claims that he was chasing clout or public approval.

“My involvement was not about scoring points or seeking popularity,” Mosiria said. “I acted because I believed the situation required careful public scrutiny and legal attention.”

He added that part of his responsibility as a public servant is to speak out on issues that touch on people’s rights and dignity, stressing that no one — regardless of status or online popularity — is above the law.

Mosiria acknowledged that emotions often run high on social media but insisted he would continue to rely on verified facts and official reports when addressing sensitive cases. He urged Kenyans to prioritise evidence and due process over rumours and speculation.

What Sparked the Clash

The standoff began after Mosiria publicly commented on the widely shared video involving Opande and Naipei and went a step further by reporting the matter to relevant authorities.

He raised concerns about consent, privacy, and the manner in which the footage was circulated online — a move that drew both praise and backlash when the issue exploded on X and other platforms.

Kibe’s criticism stemmed from his belief that Mosiria had gone beyond his role and was presenting only one side of a complex situation. The content creator maintained that Naipei was a willing participant and questioned claims made about the circumstances surrounding the clip.

Divided Public Opinion

The online exchange quickly split opinion. While some netizens echoed Kibe’s calls for accountability and restraint, others backed Mosiria’s emphasis on legal process and the protection of personal dignity.

Mosiria’s Growing Public Profile

The spat comes as Mosiria continues to gain visibility in Nairobi’s civic leadership space. He is known for regularly addressing public concerns ranging from community safety and environmental enforcement to responsible civic behaviour.

While his outspoken approach has attracted criticism from some quarters, it has also earned him support from those who see him as a hands-on official unafraid to tackle controversial issues head-on.
