Bahati Issues Public Apology For His Recent Actions, Admits He’s “Not Perfect”

Kenyan musician Bahati has issued a public apology for his recent conduct, acknowledging that he has fallen short and disappointed many of his fans and associates.

In a message posted on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, the singer confirmed that he had received numerous calls from friends and family following his behavior, which recently drew heavy criticism online. Bahati expressed sorrow for letting down those who look up to him, including his fan base, partners, and the Christian community.

“I received many calls, from my friends, family…I want to apologise for all the times you feel I have let down society,” Bahati stated.

Apologizing for Disappointments

The award-winning artist admitted that he hasn’t always acted as a responsible father and expressed regret for actions that may have caused pain to those closest to him.

“For all the times I don’t act like a responsible father to my kids, I apologise for all the times you feel like I have let down Christianity,” he confessed.

Despite these recent missteps, Bahati insisted that his faith in God remains strong. He requested forgiveness, maintaining that only God truly knows his heart and intentions. “My God, the one who knows my heart, forgive me because I am just a man. You know I have never left you. God sijawai kuacha [I have never left you],” he prayed.

Commitment to Change

Bahati concluded his apology by reminding his followers that perfection is unattainable, referencing the Bible to highlight that all people are bound to make mistakes.

“Just like the Bible says, no man is perfect, and I agree I am not,” he stated.

The artist, who has frequently faced public scrutiny for his choices, affirmed his determination to change and become a better version of himself. While he can’t promise perfection, he is committed to doing his best.

“Jesus, as I work on myself, I can’t promise perfection, but I will do my best. So help me God,” Bahati concluded.
