Bahati makes a Kshs 100 million wedding promise to Diana Marua
Kenyan content creator Diana Marua has once again put her husband, singer Bahati, on the spot over their long-promised wedding, demanding to know exactly when he plans to finally make things official after nearly a decade together.
The celebrity couple, who have built one of Kenya’s most followed online relationships, recently opened up about their love journey in a video shared on their YouTube channel. However, the conversation quickly shifted to the issue fans have been asking about for years — why Bahati has never officially put a ring on Diana’s finger.
“Why haven’t you ever put a ring on me?” Diana boldly asked during the candid discussion.
The mother of three pointed out that the couple is now approaching 10 years together, yet the wedding plans still remain a promise rather than a reality.
Taking to social media afterward, Diana admitted that while Bahati has supported and spoiled her in many ways throughout their relationship, marriage is the one thing still missing.
“My Man @bahatikenya has done everything for me, except putting a ring on me,” she wrote.
Faced with the pressure, Bahati defended himself by revealing that he allegedly wants to give Diana one of the biggest celebrity weddings Kenya has ever seen.
According to the singer, he is planning a lavish wedding worth a jaw-dropping KSh100 million.
The shocking figure immediately sparked reactions online, with fans debating whether the couple would actually pull off such an extravagant ceremony.
Diana confirmed that Bahati had indeed promised to spend the massive amount on their wedding but insisted that her biggest concern was not the money, but the timing.
“Today he says he’ll spend 100 MILLION SHILLINGS on our wedding! My question is WHEN BAHATI?” she posed.
The conversation later took a more practical turn after Diana questioned whether spending KSh100 million on a single day even made financial sense.
While Bahati appeared determined to go all out with a flashy celebration, Diana admitted she would rather invest the money into something more permanent.
She joked that if she personally had access to KSh100 million, she would rather buy land and invest in a ranch instead of throwing an expensive party.
The exchange has since fueled fresh online speculation over whether the famous couple will finally walk down the aisle as they approach their 10-year anniversary together.
