Bahati’s Alleged Mother Breaks Down In Tears After Finding Out DNA Results
In a surprising turn of events, Kenyan musician Kevin Bahati (popularly known as Bahati) recently underwent a DNA test to address claims from a woman, Judith Makokha, who insisted she was the biological mother he believed had died decades ago.
The results, finalized in early March 2026, have finally provided a definitive answer to a saga that gripped his fanbase for months.
The Background: A Conflict of Realities
For years, Bahati’s public identity has been deeply rooted in his story as an orphan. He has frequently spoken about losing his mother when he was just seven years old, even memorializing her in hit songs like “Mama.”
However, the narrative was challenged in late 2025 when a video of Judith Makokha went viral. In the clip, she claimed that she did not die 25 years ago. She further explained that extreme poverty forced her to leave Bahati at the ABC Children’s Home in Mathare to ensure he had a better future.
Bahati, visibly shaken by the claims, initially expressed disbelief, stating he had personally attended his mother’s burial and witnessed her grave.
The DNA “D-Day”
Driven by what he called “compassionate curiosity,” Bahati agreed to a DNA test in February 2026. He submitted to the process at a top facility in Nairobi, accompanied by the woman and her family. At the time, he promised that if the results were positive, he would welcome her home and even build her a house.
The Verdict
The results, released on March 9, 2026, delivered a “cold, undeniable scientific reality”: Judith Makokha is not Bahati’s biological mother.
Judith was in heavy tears after finding out that she is not in any way related to Bahati.
The test confirmed that there is no biological link between the singer and the woman. While the revelation brought an end to the immediate speculation, it served as an emotional closure for Bahati, reaffirming the history he has carried with him since childhood.
For Bahati, the results mean his original story remains his truth. He continues to honor the memory of the mother he lost in 1993, while closing a chapter that briefly threatened to rewrite his past “by fire, by force.”
