Dem Wa Facebook Opens Up On Abrupt End Of Her Partnership With Oga Obinna
Comedienne Dem Wa Facebook has addressed the persistent questions about her professional split from media personality Oga Obinna, revealing that their initially strong mutual bond simply faded away without warning.
Speaking during a podcast interview with Alex Mwakideu, released on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, the comedian, whose real name is Milicent Ayuwa, revealed she was never formally notified about the end of their joint show.
The Sudden Silence
Dem Wa Facebook confessed that, to this day, she still lacks closure regarding the circumstances that led to the show’s sudden conclusion.
“I did not understand what happened, hadi wa leo sijawahi jua what happened. Ata mimi nakuanga surprised,” she said. “I do not know what happened with the show.”
Milicent had anticipated a long-term partnership with Obinna, making the abrupt silence particularly confusing.
“I knew we would work for a long time, na nilikua napenda the show. I don’t understand what intervened, even now,” Milicent revealed, adding, “I wasn’t told; it just went silent. Even I have never known the reason why the show ended.”
End of an Era
She described the simple mechanism that signaled the end of her contribution to the Obinna TV Show. Typically, Obinna’s Personal Assistant would contact her every Monday to schedule a shoot. However, one specific Monday, the call never came.
“For us, huwa tunarecord every Monday, so on Monday, huwa najua PA wake atanitext aniambie tunarecord uko wapi ndo wanipick,” she explained.
“I did not get the message until today.”
Milicent ultimately concluded that her contract had likely expired and that Obinna had simply decided to support a different artist, which she said she accepted. “I said, maybe the contract is over and he wants to help other artists,” she stated.
Despite the seven-month separation, Dem Wa Facebook was among the A-list celebrities who attended Obinna’s sold-out “My Mistakes” show on Saturday, June 7, 2025, where she offered heartfelt words to her former boss in honor of his birthday.
