Dorea Chege vs hater: Ni kumoto!

Dorea Chege has publicly called out online harassment, confronting an individual she claims has been targeting her using a fake social media account.

The actress took to her Instagram stories to address the situation, revealing that the person had been sending her abusive messages through direct messages while hiding behind a pseudo account. She suggested that the same individual likely follows her using a real profile as well.

“Kuna pseudo inanitukana sana kwa DM, and since I’m sure you’ve followed me with your real account, you’ll get to see this,” she wrote.

Expressing frustration, Dorea questioned the motive behind the persistent attacks, urging the individual to let go of their negativity.

“Hunny, heal. I don’t know why you’re so bitter with my life. Who hurt you? Why is my family a bother to you?” she posed.

She noted that she had ignored the messages for a long time but had now reached a breaking point, choosing to speak out.

“I know you wanna be me so bad! Peleka makasiriko zako mbali na mimi. It’s so annoying—I have ignored enough!” she added.

Squashing breakup rumours

The confrontation came just a day after Dorea and her partner, DJ Dibul, dismissed rumours about a possible breakup. The couple had recently been at the centre of online speculation regarding their relationship.

They appeared together at their daughter’s birthday celebration, a glamorous event attended by several notable figures. Videos from the party showed the two in high spirits, effectively putting the rumours to rest.

Seeking accountability

Dorea has now appealed to her followers for help in identifying the person behind the fake account. She urged anyone with information to reach out to her directly via DM, signalling her intent to hold the individual accountable.
