Grade 9 Student Arrested For Brutal Murder Of Two Underage Girls In Kisii

Police in Kisii South have arrested a Grade 9 student as the prime suspect in the brutal murders of two young girls, aged 4 and 5, in Nkura Village.

The victims, Annah Bahati and Stacy Nyanchama, disappeared on Tuesday evening while playing outside. Following a frantic search by family members, their lifeless bodies were discovered hours later dumped in a nearby banana plantation.

Family Recounts the Tragic Disappearance

The grieving families detailed the horrifying moments leading up to the grim discovery:

• The Disappearance: Annah’s mother, Juliet Wache, recounted that the children left the house to play in the evening. By 6:30 PM, they had not returned, prompting a village-wide search.

• The Discovery: Catherine Kemuma, a family member, explained that while they were at the local police station filing a missing persons report, they received a call informing them that the children had been found stuffed in a sack, with their slippers discovered in a pit latrine.

• A Painful Sight: Cyprian Geno, another relative who stumbled upon the crime scene, shared the heartbreaking moment: “I am the one who found them. One child was on the side and the other was lying there lifeless. It was very painful.”
