A pastor from Kisii has impressed Kenyans after cycling 305 km to Nairobi to look for a job as a driver.

Pastor John Otayo is a trained and experienced driver, but getting a job had become extremely hard in his home county Kisii, so he opted to try his luck in Nairobi.

Greener pastures

On social media, his photos went viral after a man posted him sharing his story and asking fellow Kenyans to help him.

“Pastor John Otayo from Kisii County is looking for a job. He’s a driver by qualification. He has travelled from Kisii to Nairobi to seek greener pasture. His mobile number is 0722851343,” a said the post on Facebook.

Otayo left his home town with only a few belongings and was spotted around Afay Center where he was hoping to land the job.

Olivia Moraira, a popular blogger, claimed she saw the poor and broke man of God pedaling his bike somewhere along the Kisii-Narok road while traveling to Nairobi.
