“She Took Me to a Witch Doctor”: Woman Accuses Actress Sandra Dacha Of Exploitation During Marriage Crisis
Popular actress Sandra Dacha is facing serious allegations after a woman named Sofia released a viral video accusing her of deceptive behavior and financial exploitation during a vulnerable period in her life.
Sofia revealed that Dacha was the unnamed “friend” she had previously promised to expose for introducing her to witchcraft under the guise of religious healing.
The Allegations: Deception Under the Guise of “Prayers”
According to Sofia, the ordeal began during a messy divorce, during which her estranged husband had her enrolled at the Mathari Mental Hospital. Seeing her distress, Sandra Dacha offered to host her, claiming Sofia shouldn’t be alone.
However, Sofia alleges that Dacha’s intentions were far from noble:
-
The Witch Doctor Trap: Sofia claims Dacha set up a meeting with a practitioner who read her palm and claimed an aunt had bewitched her. To lift the curse, Sofia was told she needed three “prayer sessions” costing Ksh 15,000 each.
-
The Reality of the Sessions: Expecting a religious setup, Sofia was instead taken to a tiny, dingy, dark room in the Mukuru Kwa Reuben slums, where she was covered in black blankets for the rituals.
-
Unauthorized Fundraising: Sofia further accused the actress of creating a WhatsApp group to fundraise money for her “medication” without her knowledge or consent. Sofia only discovered the group through a mutual friend and has since apologized to everyone who contributed.
In Sofia’s Own Words
“The person who took me to a mganga (witch doctor) was Sandra Dacha… She requested, like, ‘Sofia, you are not supposed to be alone; kam ukae kwangu (come stay at my place).’ But what I didn’t know was Sandra alitaka kunipeleka kwa hizo mavitu (wanted to take me into those things).”
Sandra Dacha has yet to issue a public response to these heavy allegations.
