Size 8 Explains Why The Devil Hates Marriage

Gospel singer and ordained preacher Linet Munyali, famously known as Size 8, has offered a spiritual perspective on marital conflicts, asserting that the devil actively opposes marriage because it symbolizes God’s intended union.

Speaking during an interview with local YouTubers on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, Size 8 emphasized that life is inherently spiritual, a dimension many people fail to grasp regarding their relationships.

“Life is spiritual, and people do not understand; the enemy hates marriages because marriage is a replica of Christ, who is the main groom and the body, which is his bride, the church,” Size 8 explained.

She further stressed that the devil resents the sanctity of marriage because it represents a major spiritual defeat. “Devil anachukia marriage because hapo ndio alinyanganywa kila kitu, and the human being ikaendelea na the human race.”

Silent Prayer Before Intimacy

The preacher once again encouraged married couples to introduce prayer into their intimate moments. She clarified that this prayer does not need to be audible or long, but rather a silent, heartfelt whisper.

“What I was telling people about before intimacy uombe, I was not saying that you speak in tongues; in your heart, just whisper sio lazima uonge na mdomo [it’s not necessary to speak with your mouth], in your heart, just whisper a small one or two sentences, and just allow the Lord,” she advised.

Size 8 urged couples to anchor their unions in Christ and pray over them, stating that this spiritual practice will help strengthen and protect the marriage from external interference.

This counsel is consistent with her previous statements, including a 2023 interview where she disclosed that she always prays silently without her husband DJ Moh’s knowledge, asking God to guide the act she views as spiritual. She concluded that problems often escalate immediately after couples say “I do,” because marriage is what the devil fundamentally hates.
